We are looking into the 10 day cruise (Dec. 18th 2004) on the Magic. I haven't been able to find the number of points required (cat. 11 or 12) for that cruise. I have a call into member services but I'm wondering if anyone on the boards has this info.

I haven't heard that it's been offered for points but if it is, count on it being a lot.

and be prepared for sticker shock....though I do have a family of 6 cat 11 was like $11,000 for 2 cabins...NOT:eek:

I'm sorry to hear the news about the cost. It will probably be crossed off the list for the next Disney vacation. Oh well...now I know.

We also aren't at the 11 month mark yet to make that cruise reservation. I would think that if rooms were still available, they will make it so that you can use points come January.

We are also a family of six and when we called and found out the price of two adjoining cabins was about the same as purchasing another 150 points, we decided to hold off on that cruise.

I got an email back from member services. They said you need to call to get that info. It made no sense to me in that all the other cruise dates in 2004 are listed on the point page.

I did call and they informed me that for a catagory 10 stateroom for our family of four would be a 347 for each adult and 206 points for each for our boys (18 & 16).

I was a little stunned and asked if it is possible to use a combination of cash and points. She said yes, but points must be enough to pay entirely for a person. In other words, you can't pay for one person with a combination of both monty and points.
