Can you use the $500 gift card for dining ??? I would like to come in December with the gift card offer at a deluxe resort, but I do not want to pay for a dining plan and free dining is not available for my dates. so if anyone knows the answer to my question please let me know.......

I asked the CM who helped me add the $500 gift card, and she said it can be used for anything in the parks, including dining.

Depending on the length of your stay, it could be a better deal to get the 40% off the room. If you do the gift card, you have to use rack rates. So, depending on the type of room at the deluxe resort, it could be better with the 40% off at a 4 night stay. The savings go up from there.

Unfortunately, according to the CM I spoke to this morning, the 40% off doesn't apply to the CR Garden Wing rooms. I don't know if it is blocked for all of the CR, or just the GW rooms.
