Please could someone advise me on whether this info is correct or not? We are staying at La Quinta Inn & Suites Orlando/Maingate for the first few nights of our stay, according to their website it says that the hotel is 1 mile away from Universal. But when i look on a map, it seems more than that!!

I thought the Maingate one was at Polynesian Isle Blvd in Kissimmee.

If that is the case it will be a few miles and about 10-15 minutes down the I4 to Universal.
I would say it would be more like 10 than 1.

There is I believe a La Quinta very close to Universal, less than a mile, but it is definitely not 'Maingate'.

Rachel check the address of the La Quinta Inn that you're staying at. Like Johnny says the Kissimmee one is Polynesian Isle Blvd and the Universal one is Major Blvd. It is so confusing when properties with the same name are at different locations

Here is La Quinta Inn Universal and La Quinta Inn and Suites Maingate.
Even with the Maingate it is stating it is 3 miles from WDW's main entrance.

Just reread the Maingate details and it is definitely a misprint on their part.

If you click on the whats nearby icon and put in Universal for business you get this and it says it is about 8.6 miles.
