We are looking at Country Inn Calypso Cay in Kissimmee VERSUS Country Inn in Lake Buena Vista ...

Not sure of these hotels, they seem good - but not sure which would be closer to the parks and how easy it is to drive to parks...

 :wave2:

I would go on Mapquest with the address of each. My guess is that Lake Buena Vista would be closer, as WDW is in Lake Buena Vista.

The city of LBV is Disney. I will tell you both are very close. The one in LBV is the closest. That location is not even a quarter of a mile from the entrance to the DTD area.

thanks ! ! ! Now i have to wonder which hotel to pick:

Country Inn in LBV, free cont. breakfast
or
Hawthorn Suites (8 standard rooms, can't guarantee non-smoking - and I booked a standard king room) also wondering which of the 2 hotels has a nicer, brighter
breakfast area.... sounds silly but it means a lot to me!

I would go for the Hawthorn Suite. They have a free breakfast too and they have hot stuff as well as the cont. fare. You will have a full kitchen, including dishwasher and a full size fridge. I have stayed there once, it was the night before our cruise in June. I had two free nights there. We are returning in Sept. to use our last free night before moving to Pop. We had a king suite. There is also a sofa bed and two tv's. It is a great place!!!

I forgot to add that the breakfast area is next to the pool, so one wall is all windows.
