My son loves playing this game online and heard there is a VMK Center at the park somewhere, could someone tell us where?

It's a little less than half way down main street on the right in the "Cinema". Allow time for the hunts, they are not things you would know without going to the attractions. DD loved all the free VMK cards and codes

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 The kids had a blast in January doing this. Really added another element to our trips that was fun, different and great for as they are getting older. Some of the questions are tough, especially Tomorrowland. They earned all kinds of prizes for their online persona. DS going back in March with a group and doing it again, and I am taking DD in May and she'll do it again. Get the quests as soon as you arrive.......

ps DD bought gold MM ears at resort shop (to have name stitched at MK), and unfortunately they said only those purchased at the MK will get the VMK bonus :( So if that is something they want, wait to get at MK.

What is the VMK bonus that you get on MM ears hats? How old do you need to be to play this? My ds is 11-12 is this age appropriate? Also, I know almost nothing about this, but I thought I had read on another post that they had discontinued the hunts?

Your son is the perfect age for the game! :teeth: It is targeted for children from ages 8-14, but honostly a lot of us adult DIS'ers play it! ;) I do not know if the quests are discontinued. I know that the Pirate and Haunted Mansion quests are but I am not sure about the others. Check out the VMK forums here on the DIS for any information reguarding VMK.

For buying any hat in MK in specified shops you receive a card for gold Mickey ears in the game. If you do happen to buy them in another park or another shop, usually (not guaranteed) the CM's will still give you the card if you show them your receipt. Unfortunately a lot of the CM's aren't familiar with the game so you might have to do a little explaining.

I know someone has already told you where VMK Central is at WDW but that info and alot more is in the players guide stuck at the top of this forum.

You might want to check it out before you go.

Oops Bopper did not see you posted the Link to the Guide ;) thank you.

hi i have been on the tour twice. the vmk tour place is in the cinema on MAIN STREET U.S.A. on a sign above the cinema it says now showing the virtual magic kingdom. It is halfway down main street. It has pictures of VMK in the windows. U cant miss it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

me and my sis played the quests. And that was the first time we even had heard of the game. and doing the quests were fun. Even though me and my sis filled out random answers because we did it at the end of the day. Only the person working there was really nice and gave me the cards anyway :) thanks mystery vmk cashier

You have already had a lot of questions answered and some good advice given. One thing which is no doubt stated in the Player's Guide but is worth repeating and stressing for folks doing the quests for the first time:

Print out the Tomorrowland Quest from the VMK site BEFORE YOU GO.

There is no card for it in the parks (like there is for the other quests). The only way to do this quest is to print out the questions before you leave. You can find a link to a pdf. file of the quest off of the VMK home page.

Make sure you create a character at WDW even if you already have one, so you can get those black mickey ears.

The VMK Insider tour has been discontinued and also the Haunted Mansion & Pirates of the Caribbean quests that were part of that tour.

However the Adventureland, Fantasyland, Frontierland, and Tomorrowland quests are still being done. The last time I was in VMK Central (WDW) they had quite a stack of Tomorrowland quests printed out, but it would be best to take your own just in case.

As far as creating a character: the last time I was at VMK Central in WDW (it has been reported since then also) the handicapped accessible computer terminal was the only one working. This is the furthest one from the door.

I printed out the Tomorrowland PDF but it says that it expires on 12/31/05. Anybody know anything about this? Anybody done it this year?

I did it about three weeks ago. They will continue to do them until they run out of prize cards for that quest.

Just got back from WDW. My kids did 2 VMK quests. FantasyLand, and Adventureland. They LOVED it! The created new accounts at WDW and got cool stuff.

And I found having a pocket sized notepad with paper and pen to write
down the information I used to create characters to be very helpful, too!
It would have been useless if I created a character and forgot the password
or sign in name.

and again, just to reitterate. When making mules, give them ALL the SAME birthdate, e-mail addy, and password. It makes life SO much easier. :thumbsup2

Also, we just did the tomorrowland as well last week and they still took it. Also did the frontierland and fantasyland quests, but the adventureland one was pulled and they said they are "re-doing it", although they still gave us the cards without turning in anything for the quest. :confused3
