Does anyone know where I can buy GIANT POTATOES online?

I know this is strange. I am looking to purchase potatoes...not just any but the biggest I can find. My mother needs nothing for mothers day...she wants nothing. She told me she doesnt want a special dinner just a baked potatoe(her favorite) and a stick of buttershe's not kidding
So, I have been looking for a farm online to ship Giant Potatoes...anyone??? Thanks

We have a sub shop that makes fresh fries and they have the potatoes in this rack before they slice them and they are the biggest things I've ever seen. People in line are always talking about them. Might be worth checking a place that makes hand cut fries if the other places don't pan out. Order an order of fries uncut and uncooked!

Sam's has huge ones, too.

But if you have a McAlister's Deli nearby, they have these GIANT potatoes. They won't tell us where they get them, but you could buy one there. Then you wouldn't have to figure out what to do with a big bag from the warehouse store.

McAlister's actually has a baked potato bar they set up for you at a party/event.

Does mom live in a different area ? Are you planning to have this shipped to her ? Why not procure it for her locally and then fedex it to her ? butter will be fine on dry ice .

I am going to third the recommendation for a warehouse club - Sams, Costco, BJs, etc if you have one around.

My mom got these potatoes from BJs a couple months ago, and they were enormous! We're still joking about how huge these potatoes were. I think 4 people split one for dinner one day.

About 15+ years ago, my Mom worked for this company (a potato warehouse) and we used to get HUGE potates (sometimes they were around 5+ pounds each). One time we made a huge pot of potato soup with one potato. If you call them and explain your situation, maybe they would ship one to you.

This may be a longshot, but when we've been at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, for horse shows, they had huge baked potatoes for sale in the concession stand. You might call and ask where they get them from.

That explains why I get a whole potato when I order the 2 for $5.99 thing (it says half a potato on the board). I wondered about that.
