If you're doing one park per day its $199.99 or if you want to do I guess park hopping then its $139.99. It says limited time only, but couldn't find when its expiring?

When we were in Disney we did park hopping to catch different shows/parades etc. but do you really need to park hop between IOA and universal studios?

Tickets and promotions are always subject to change without notice, but as of right now, here's what was found:

RESTRICTIONS:

*Ticket must be purchased by June 16, 2013.
*First use of this ticket must be on or before June 17, 2013, to receive full ticket entitlements.
*Ticket expires on June 30, 2013; unused days shall be forfeited.
*
Ticket is for purchase and use by United States or Canadian residents only.
*Guest must present proof of United States or Canadian residency at time of purchase and ticket pick-up

Hope this helps :)

Thank you. My brother is joining us with his family, they're in UK, so I can buy the tickets for them if I'm picking up the tickets?

As for your question on whether or not you really need to park hop or not, we had the 3 day park hopper and only park hopped on the 3rd day to see the parade at US. I myself would probably have used it another day, but the kids wanted to go back to the hotel and hang there. Go figure! We stayed onsite, did US one day, IOA another day, then the 3rd day started at IOA and ended at US. They make it very easy to park hop as the parks are so close to each other!

Yes you can...tickets aren't assigned to any one until they are activated.

This deal has us considering doing a primarily US/IOA trip then a Disney trip. We are currently booked at Pop, and were planning 3 days at Disney parks, two days at the Universal parks. However, the Disney hotels are $130/night, and the 3 days passes are about $270 pp. We can instead stay at a hotel near universal for about $80/night, get 3 days for $120 pp, and just do the one day at MK for about $100 pp. Overall, we would save about $400. That's a big consideration for us since we are doing a cruise this time too :)
