I know double developer points end next Friday. What is the price per point if you get the developer points and what is the price if you don't get them? Thanks

Cost is $104 per point with the double Developer points. SSR offers a $10 discount with no extra points and there is an $8 discount for AKV with no extra points.

For add-ons made in person at the Doorway to Dreams office in Chicago by August 31 there are some other incentives where you can get developer points AND money off per point. For AKV, you will receive $8 off per point and for SSR $10 and the Developer points are rewarded at three levels based on the number of points added:

110 points + discount + 110 developer points
160 points + discount + 240 developer points
210 points + discount + 420 developer points

WOW!! Wish I could have got that deal last week when I bought 219 points at the sales office in SSR. 219 + discount + 420 extra points would have been sweet!

Wow, is that only for add ons or also for new member purchases?

The incentive of points + discount that WebmasterDoc stated is ONLY for ADD-ONS and only if you visit the Doorway to Dreams store in Chicago (Schaumburg actually). This is the only place stating this incentive ends August 31st.

Not sure the incentives from Florida are still going or how long they will continue. When talking to my guide, it is done when the points are gone. No set time, although he thought it would be over real soon. In other words, don't hold fast to the August 31st deadline when buying from DVC in Florida.

Sorry I missed this, but welcome to the DIS! You will find a wealth of information here.

I should also mention that the incentives for new purchases at Chicago are basically the same as through Florida.

Again, WELCOME!!!

Thanks for the welcome!

DH and I are planning to buy DVC, I want to right away, he wants to wait. I was thinking that if that incentive was for new purchases as well, then I would just have to take a quick drive down to Chicago (about 2 hrs away.) :)

I'm sorry if i'm just missing this but what exactly is the whole special with the developer points?? And its going until friday the 31st for add ons only?? Thanks for any info!

For new purchases and add-ons from calling your guide in Florida, a person will receive double the developer points for every purchase over 100 or 110 for add-ons, (not sure),and 160 minimum for new members and only from SSR and AKV. So if you buy 160 points, you will receive an additional 320 points free for a total of 480. You must use these points within 12 months and cannot bank them. If you do not want these points, you have the option to take $10 per point off of SSR and $8 off AKV instead. The confusion about the Chicago offer is that it is for add-ons only, not for new members. It allows the dollar discount and a graduated scale for developer points based on the amount purchased.

So what if you added on say 25 or 50 pts. Could you get the 10 buck discount on that?
