Does anyone know the price of the Dining Plan for DVCers?

Yes - to be exact, my understanding is the price for 2006 will be $37.99 (for ages 10+) and $10.99 (ages 3 -9). That's per night for the entire length of your stay.

Best wishes -

What Carol says is correct. I called MS this morning to get the information. You also don't pay until you check-in.

Wish I could use in Feb?March, guest I will have to wait until May vacation. :Pinkbounc

I didn't realize this was finally available to dvcers. This is awesome. Now I need more info. How many meals per day does this include?

Deesknee...

Go to the DVC website, it's all spelled out for us. And by the way, I called MS to ask why it says (breakfast not included) and they told me that that statement was wrong and they are going to fix the website.

We can't wait to use it in October!!!

Thanks Deemarch. I just checked it out. More leverage to talk DH into going before APs run out this June. ;)

Hi , does anyone remember if the 37.99 was with tax or is it plus tax. Secondly could it be canceled before arrival? Thanks for the help!!!!

As a DVC member, Can this be applied to my AP when I go???

Not sure what you mean.

You do not need to purchase any tickets at all to add the Dining Plan to a points reservation (or a cash reservation made through MS) for a WDW DVC resort.

While "the Plan" includes tax when you use it, we probably won't know "for sure" if sales tax is charged on the $37.99 when you pay for it at check-in until someone actually does use it in April. My guess is no tax...but we really can't be sure. It depends on FL tax laws.

That's what I needed to know! Thanks! :)

This is probably a really stupid question but...are my guests allowed to use it also? I'm bringing another mom and her dd with me in Oct, booked a 2 bdrm unit at BWV. I'm trying to decide if I'm better off with the dining plan, which would come to about $455 for the two of us, or renew my DDE card. If I use the DDE card the total for the exact same meals comes to $385, then I have to add in the renewal fee of $60 for the card. I guess it comes out pretty even. Now, to decide what to do.

The Members website states:

Members can now enjoy the Disney Dining Plan when staying at a Disney Vacation Club Resort at the Walt Disney World® Resort on or after April 1 (this excludes Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort and Disney's Vero Beach Resort). Important Note: The Disney Dining Plan must be booked in advance of arrival and must be purchased for your entire travel party (ages 3 and over) for your entire length of stay. Call Member Services to add it to your reservation or to make a new reservation today. Learn more about the Disney Dining Plan.
(emphasis added)

It includes one sit down meal, one counter service meal, and one snack per day. Two sit-down meal vouchers can be exchanged for one Signature Dining Experience (California Grill) or Disney Dinner Show (HDDR).

Not a stupid question!

Bottom line: If your guests are sharing the 2 bedroom with you, they would have to buy the Dining Plan if you do. You can't add the Dining Plan unless everyone in the same room also buys it. (See the preivous post by 1000th happy haunt).

If you want the Dining Plan and they don't, consider booking two studios (or a 1 bedroom and a studio) instead of the 2 bedroom.

Got a question

You check in on Sunday out on Friday.
Do you pay for Sunday - Thursday?
If you have left over credits on Friday, can you use them Friday?

You pay per night, so it would be 5 days of credits. You can use the credits through midnight Friday.

It's now on the website:

$37.99 Adults (10 yr+)
$10.99 Children (3 yr - 9 yr)

I can't seem to open the file from the member website of the listing of names for the restaurants available for Dining. Can anyone post them here-I am really interested in the ones at DVC resorts and Boardwalk.
