Does anyone know if the A320 aircraft have the tv's in the ceiling?

Amer West has changed all their Phx/Mco flights from Boeing 757's to A320's. With the 757's you go to watch tv......how about the Airbus 320?

what are we going to do for 5 hrs with no food and no movie?????

I've flown on a USAirways Airbus 320. They have a screen that comes down from under the overheads, one every 3 or 4 rows on each side. Same with the Airbus 319 and 321. Don't know about the food service, I would suggest you bring your own snacks.

The Airbus A320 series jets are very comfortable. They do have video and audio equipment onboard.

thanks......I was expecting not to get fed....so glad to hear we may have something to watch and help pass the time.

So for those who have flown the A320......would you say its a smooth ride?

I prefer to fly on big planes over the 737's.......it helps my flying fears to have the smoother ride......

It was pretty much a smooth ride, until we got into a big storm. However, we were able to change altitudes very quickly (we actually kept going between 17,000 and 39,000 feet for about an hour!).

On United, the A320's have the video screens that come down every 3 rows over the seats. The A320 is a little bigger than the 737's. They are comparable in size to the 727's. United has replaced their 727's with A 319's and A320's. They are pretty comfortable. Occasionally you will hear a strange "popping" sound, but that is the norm on these planes. Most meals service on flights less than 3 1/2 hours have been discontinued, so it would be wise to bring something on board.

JetBlue's A320's have a TV on the back of every seat. Each passenger gets their own tv/w 24 channels of Direct TV!! I love JetBlue.
