Does anyone know if rewrite CDs (CD-R) play on US CD players

I am off to Florida next month and wanted to create some CDs to play in the car using CD-R - does anyone know if this will be compatible with US CD systems - thanks.

well dh has been doing this for our holiday as well- yep no probs at all playing them in the car!
