We stayed at BCV, MLK weekend 2008. The water was warm enough for me to get in, even did the slide a few times(we lucked out and the slide part wasn't down for rehab, it was this MLK weekend). I think SAB closed around 6-7pm, we had to use the quiet pool the night we go in
Once the sun goes down, it is harder to monitor the pool. So when it gets too dark the pool closes. They barricade the entrances so you can't try to get in and swim.

Oh I didn't think about the pool being down for rehab. Hmmmm I wonder if it goes under rehab every Jan. We were just at Disney Jan. 21st through the 26th but at OKW. I love our Jan. trips. The past two Jan. trips we have stayed at OKW. We love it there, but it would be nice to be close to EC. We have stayed at BC twice in the summer and it was so nice to be close to EC and we loved SAB. Trying to decide if we will go back in Nov. over Thanksgiving another fave time for us or wait and go back in Jan.

If an Epcot area resort with extended pool time is your focus, you are booked into the wrong property. The pool at BWV is open 24/7 (the slide is open when guards are on duty; that schedule varies by season but in Jan is probably in the 9-6 range).
