Does anyone know David's Disney DVC Rental Site?

Did you have to list him as an Associate on your account?

Yup. There's really not much a person can do as an Associate that I can't undo as the owner, with the exception, I suppose, of banking or transferring points, which I haven't authorized him to do via our contract. He has no access to my personal information (SS number, included)

He's a good communicator, and quick to answer questions. He has to trust the Owner in the transaction too, don't forget. A person could take the 50% deposit they receive on the booking and cancel the reservation and cancel the darn thing... or go into default on their dues... or sell their points...

No one should ever call you an idiot. Maybe more of a risk taker than many of us, but at the end of the day it's up to each of us to decide what is okay and what might be requiring more trust than we're willing to give in the situation.

Very diplomatic, Granny.

It seems to me that Disney is aware of Dave's dealings. I have been on the phone with him on conference calls to MS and the CMs seemed to know exactly who he is and what he is doing. I did not end up renting from him, because the days/resort I wanted were not available. He was very professional and I would use him.

We rented points from David 2 years ago. It was a good experience and gave us a feel for the DVC experience, resulting in us purchasing a contract at BWV. I'm aware that buying from him is different than having him sell points, but he was professional and we had no problems. Please do not see this as an endorsement for naming him as an associate. I know nothing about this. But he handled our rental of points very well.

I think people renting DVC points "professionally" stinks and I am against it, but DVC must not have a problem with this as it continues to go on. :confused3

It seems Disney turns a blind eye to some of these people. But with all that happened in the past from professionals make DVC a business. You would think they would not. I would assume some of the current changes, example (only 1 transfer a year) were directly related to the people make a business of it. This person seems to have found a loophole by being a member and getting people to list him as an associate.
Just my 1/2 cents worth.
