Does anyone know about Main Gate benefits for campus reps?

Hello all:

Daughter just finished (May 2009) her semester-long CP. She has now been hired to be a Disney campus rep for the coming academic year.

I believe I have a vague notion of her PERSONAL park benefits, passes, etc. But I'm wondering as a CAMPUS REP will she be able to extend any benefits to family members? I know if she works once in 6 months, she can get a pass of some sorts, but I'm wondering if she can get a Main Gate pass again to get family members into the parks up to 6 times. (It worked in the CP, but now wondering if she can do the same as a CAMPUS REP.)

Thanks in advance for anyone who knows anything about CAMPUS REP FAMILY BENEFITS.

I believe for Campus Reps to get a Maingate, they have to work a shift before they can get the Maingate.

Yep, all Campus Reps must work an actual shift (i.e. not Campus Recruiting) in order to receive a Main Entrance Pass. Once they have worked a shift, they should receive it within several weeks.

And just a note, it is a limited-use Main Entrance Pass. The Disneyland Resort does not recognise Walt Disney World Resort College Program Campus Reps as Employees of The Walt Disney Company, and will not honour Main Entrance Passes issued to them for entry. Campus Reps wishing to visit the DLR must use a Cast Complimentary Ticket or purchase a Admission Ticket at Guest price.

So...I guess that means a potential plan of having my daughter work a shift and then get the Main entrance pass the next day to get family members in would not be in the cards? Please confirm that understanding.

It would depend on the speed with which everything moves. If a request is sent quickly, your daughter could possibly pick up her Main Entrance Pass from the Walt Disney World Resort Ticketing Office in Celebration, Fla..

However, issuing Main Entrance Passes is most certainly not high on Management's list of priorities, so I don't believe it would occur that quickly in reality.

They just changed the policy this year! Previous years you received a main gate pass without working a shift at Walt Disney World. I talked to my recruiter and they are shifting back to the old ways. This would entail the campus rep to earn rewards and free tickets for admission of family members and friends.

Glendalis I believe you may be confusing the main entrance pass with the main gate pass. You are correct in the workings of the main entrance pass. However, you receive that for just being a campus rep. I believe that is just your regular ID card. That ID card will only allow you to gain admission into the Walt Disney World Resort. You are then issued a main gate pass (which you now have to work for), and that includes admission to all Walt Disney Parks throughout the world. I can use it for myself and three other guests up to six different times. I just checked my main gate pass to confirm this. The only exception is during blackout days.
