Does anyone just take a taxi from MCO?

Feels like years since I've used a taxi, but wondering if just might be easiest way to hotel from airport. Wouldn't have to worry about surge pricing.

Are there plenty of taxis waiting at airport? About how much to resort area?

There are still tons of taxis out and about. I don't ever use them, I've been lucky to not experience Surge pricing.

This is my question as well. I realized it is much cheaper for our party of 8 to hire a private car service from Mears over Mears Connect. Has anyone else done this before?

Thanks. $75 is still pretty pricey compared to an Uber during a non-surge time. There's just two of us and we don't need a grocery stop, feel like a car service would be more than we need to pay.

Obviously the bus was fine with all the extra resort stops when ME was free, but now that we have to pay, I'm not as patient about 3 resort stops before we reach ours!

I thought the taxi stand outside MCO had a sign showing fixed fares to disney properties? IIRC it was $65 to an MK property in Dec 2021 but hoping someone can verify. I didn’t think to snap a pic.

I got the fare from ride guru. Some of those signs show a typical fare not a flat fare. I don't know if MCO taxis went from metered to flat rate. As always read the fine print

There are always taxis available, this is always a good alternative, especially if there is surge pricing in effect for Uber/Lyft which happens frequently at MCO, especially during peak times.. Just head to the taxi stand and they will put you into the next available taxi, most like a Mears taxi cab..
