Does anyone here remember Double-Knit ?

I had a blast from the past yesterday. Saw something made of double-knit. I tried to explain to DD that it was a type of fabric that was practically indestructible, couldn't burn it or wear it out. Made me remember Leisure suits and pant suits, hot as haddies. I told DH to just skip the coffin and bury me in a bag made of double-knit.

My grandma still has a closet full of double-knit clothes! I remember it from when I was very young, back in the 70's. Hated wearing that stuff - we lived in Hawaii and later Florida and it was too hot for that "fabric."
