Does anyone here have a Livescribe Pulse Pen?

I am a gadget geek and this thing looks really cool. I am just wondering if it would be useful to me. I am taking a few college courses, however I take them online and do not attend lectures. I do take a lot of notes based on my readings. I will also be attending a few field trips in person and we have been told we need to take notes while we are there. At work, technology is constantly changing and we have a few training sessions during the year.

Would love to hear thoughts on this product. I have spent the morning watching youtube demos. All of them seem to show the user talking to the pen, and not really someone lecturing, but I guess it would work the same way.
And also, does it stay quiet while recording. I heard a lot of beeping in the demos.

I don't have an answer for you but am totally intrigued by this! I too am a tech/gadget geek, love NKOTB, and also from Jersey!

My husband has had one for two years or so and loves it!!!!!!!!!!! He has used his for grad school classes (lectures), work meetings, at conference trainings, etc. His co-workers have kidded him about having it but it comes in very handy. The ink refils are cheap, $6 at Target.

I saw some more demos and I think I will definitely get it. I have horrible writing and sometimes can't remember what it was that I wrote in my notes from my readings. I guess if I verbalize while writing with the pen it could help with that. DH thinks I am nuts for wanting this. We're going to Best Buy today for something else, I am sure I will walk out with one. I think I only need the 2gb one.

Santa brought me one for Christmas this year. I just started using it and to date, it does work as advertised. I recommend it. Just be sure you get the notebooks of special paper to write in.
