Tge recipe for Olive Garden's tiramisu? I can find other recipes, but I'd really like the Olive Garden version.

Thanks,

SmilingMouse

Ingredients

SPONGE CAKE, 10-12", 3" tall
STRONG BLACK COFFEE OR PREPARED INSTANT ESPRESSO, 3 ounces
BRANDY OR RUM, 3 ounces
MASCARPONE OR CREAM CHEESE, 1-1/2 pounds at room temperature
SUPERFINE OR POWDERED SUGAR, 1-1/2 cups
UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER, enough to dust
Directions

1. Cut across the middle of the sponge cake to form two disks, about 1" to 1-1/2" thick.

2. Blend the coffee or espresso and liqueur together.

3.Sprinkle the bottom half of the cake with the coffee liqueur blend, enough to flavor it strongly, but don't saturate the cake so much it will collapse.

4.Mix the cream cheese or mascarpone with the sugar, and beat until the sugar is completely dissolved and the cheese is light and spreadable.

5.Spread the bottom half of the cake with half of the whipped cheese, in a fairly thick layer.

6.Set the second half of the cake on the bottom half, and repeat the process.

7.Sprinkle the coffee/liqueur blend and spread with the remaining whipped cheese mixture.

8.Put the cocoa powder into a wire strainer and coat the top layer of the cheese completely with cocoa.

9.Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting and serving.

Hey, did you notice both recipes are different? But they both claim to be the 'olive garden' recipe?

Hey, smilingmouse you'll have to make BOTH and see which one is more accurate. Wouldn't you know, it comes down to that good ole Packers/Bears rivalry again. ;)

I was gonna suggest topsecretrecipes.com but, they had some other Olive Garden receipe. Sorry.

I think I will need to make both, since they both look sssssssssssssooooooooooo good. Does anyone know if the Olive Garden sells cook books? If so, does it have the recipe?

Thanks again

I dunno, but their website has a whole section on Italian recipes. I don't know if they are 'theirs' or just generic recipes. Tiramasu is not in there. :)

..I think that the Olive Gardens Tiramisu is EXACTLY the same as the one you can buy in the frozen section at costco-lol - it comes in a white red and green box. I had a piece at OG on friday night -- then saturday I bought a box at costco and it looked/tasted the same :) Served it at a party that night and it was a big hit. Only thing is you have to defrost it for 6 hours or overnight.

But... if you really enjoy cooking/baking tiramisu is an easy dish to make.

Actually, I graduate from college in Dec, and my lovely mother has offered to make it for me....all I have to do is provide the recipe. I REALLY like the OG tiramisu, so I'm trying to find that recipe.

Thanks for all of your help!
