Does anyone have updated on the toy story ride at CA

I heard a while back that they were building a new Toy Story ride over by Triton's Carousel. Last summer, I did see that they were doing something over there. Does anyone have information on it? When it will be completed? Is it in fact Toy Story? What it will be like?

It's supposed to open this summer and then they will star on the Little Mermaid Ride and Cars Land

It's called Toy Story Midway Mania and it is supposed to open early this summer. It will be similar to Buzz only in that riders each have their own "shooter" and score points throughout the ride. The ride scenes will be different "midway games" each hosted by different characters from the movie. The riders will wear 3-D glasses as well to enhance special effects. Another big highlight will be the interactive Mr. Potato Head in the queue line.

I heard about the Mr. Potato head, he is supposed to well........maybe I shouldn't ruin the surprise, but he will have the voice of Don Rickels who did the original voice in the movie. He also did the break down spiels for the ride. Mr. Potato head will be inter-active kind of like Crush in Turtle Talk, but the voice again is Don Rickels who only did about 700 phrases for the character.

To the original question, like DLR29 said it will be mid-way style games with 3-D glasses and the ride will be different for different ages so it has levels of play. I heard that disney Worlds version will soft open in April maybe DCA's version won't be far behind. I have not heard any news of DCA's Toy Story Mania.

Oh, we are planning on going in June. I sooo hope the ride is open by then. My ds loves Toy Story!
