Not sure if anyone else has heard about this, but I just saw the website advertising this today. It's 18 discs full of over 20 hours of rides, attractions and walk thrus of almost every aspect of Disney World for $49.99. I was just curious if anyone else had seen this.

I am not sure but I think there may have been a thread about this withing the last couple of months. If I remember correctly ( and I could be wrong...happens ALL the time) the poster was complaining that they had paid all this money for what basically amounted to someone's home movies. Anyone else remember this? :confused3

Yep, I was thinking the exact same thing when I clicked on this thread (and the link).

At the bottom of the page if you read the "questions" the first is asking what region it is- they said "0 and can be played on any DVD player." Bootlegs and any others recorded by individuals are Region "0" DVDs and are not sold by any reputable manufacturer.

When it says "who filmed this?" it says "a lifelong Disney fan".

It is basically all home movies. You can find them all on google for free, the appeal of the site is that all the videos have been placed into an 18 DVD box set. It's basically just a crummy, poor quality collection of not very good films :(

Worth a look for free on video.google.com, though!

True but, I dont think the seller was attempting to be anything you claimed. I dont think he's trying to disguise himself as something he's not.

I think it's clear that he mentions it's home video footage and that it even shakes, though he tried to avoid it.

To me, there's nothing "disguised" in this page, so you just have to decide if you want what he's got.

In his defense also he has clips of downloadable footage.

I personally would not buy it because I most likely have more video than he does. Its up to you to decide if he's trustworth but, I've seen these dVd's on several sites, and the price has been dropping the entire time they've been for sale.

To be honest, I think I once saw this set for well into a hundred bucks, so he must not be selling many.

However, I think he's honest, or else he wouldn't put this:

Q: What is the quality of the footage?

All footage is amateur fan footage filmed with "prosumer" equipment.

I have this set. And I tell you what after everything I went threw Im glad I finally got it for FREE! This is what happened. When I ordered the set, they held my order back for 2 weeks before they even sent it out because they were overfilled with orders. When I finally got it, I couldnt play them. Kept saying disc error could not be read. And the ones that could play all were skipping and pausing. So I wrote them and asked for a new set. They appologized and credited my shipping back to my debit card that I used to pay with. A couple days later, got my 2nd set. What happens? Scratches, smudges and finger prints all over the discs. I tried cleaning them, threw them in the dvd player, and guess what. They still skipped and paused. So I wrote them again and yelled at them. Told them to get their act straight, send me new copies and make sure they work, there better be no scratches, etc on them. And even told them that I even posted a bad review on the disboards about the DVDs, which I did. Then they wrote me back said they were sorry and they were gonna send me a new set this time on different type of DVDs and they were gonna credit the entire order back to my debit card PLUS send me a free gift. Well I got the new set now. They work just fine fars I know. Havent watched all of them yet. And my free gift was the disney world christmas DVD, which I still have to watch. So I got the disney world christmas dvd and the 18 disc set free of charge! Now as for the DVDs. Whoever filmed these need HELP! The camera is always tilted except for when they are on a ride, its actually straight. So the walkthroughs are like ughh. The zooming in and out can get tiring, boring and sometimes even make u feel nasuated. I think the best thing that turned out on this set was Illuminations. Word of warning everything is filmed during xmas season. So you wont hear the normal music or see the normal shows. Like the country bear jamboree. Its the xmas special and not the regular show.

Well, I didn't "claim" that he was anything really. The bootleg comment was only to point out that no real manufacturers use "region 0" DVDs. I was just noting that for those who didn't read the questions section at the end of the page.

I was pointing out that he was blatantly saying that it was home video footage, and IMO $50 is a lot to pay for someone's amateur home movies.

I'll wait till he gets down to a $1 selling price.

And then I still won't buy them.

I Agree Completely.

I've seen these dvds advertised on a lot of sites and was almost tempted... until I read this tread - and found them on google... alright to watch for free but I don't think I'll buy them now!

Will put the $$ towards my own camera instead :)

If you go to Google Video and search for "RelivetheMagic" you can find quite a few of those videos to see if you want to buy them. They are basically home movies, and to me, not the best quality. But still, you can watch online for some attractions.

Actually, there are a lot of them that aren't on Google Video! I have the set but I got it for free: When it was $100 they had an advertisment for how to get it for 30 dollers. I had to fill out 20 surveys (took a long time) and email Relive the Magic the subjects to the surveys they wanted me to fill out. I saved the coupon until the set was $50! I got the set (inluding shipping) for negative $2.01! I am shocked at how much I looooooove the set. Yes it is home video and it could be better, but where else are you going to get an entire walkthrough of World Showcase and another plus is they have the original Pirates and Tarzan Rocks (so sad to see it go). Also now they have a Disneyland set. I absoloutly love the set and I think all of you should buy it!!!

So, when did you film them? :rotfl2:

They have many of the videos on google video search. Take a look at the dark rides. Very DARK. :sad2:
