My DH got a motorcycle & they were so much cheaper than other companies that I want to get a quote on home, auto & umbrella from them.

If you have them, have you been happy with their customer service? Ever have to file a claim & did it go smoothly???

Thanks in advance.

We have them for auto, and their customer service is fine, but we've never had a claim so I can't comment on that. They are a lot cheaper than other companies where we are.

Yeah, we have had them since 2001 and never filed a claim. Knock on wood... I price around from time to time, and no one can beat their prices.

The customer service is fine from what I know!

We have been with Progressive for years. We've had several claims, and never had a problem with any of them. Right now, I know we can get a slightly cheaper rate elsewhere. But we don't want to lose Progressive's good customer service.

I was in a car accident a few years ago and the lady who hit me had Progressive. The claims adjuster was wonderful and took care of everything very quickly. I was able to go out and buy 3 new car seats a few hours later and she gave me the check for them right away. My van was repaired at a great shop and I was able to get a rental van for the three weeks mine was out of commission. I was very impressed with Progressive and when my old insurance company decided to raise my rate (triple!) I was happy to go over to Progressive. They do have low rates!

Progressive rocks! We have had them for many years and a few claims. They are cheap, fast, and fair. Two thumbs up!

I've have two accidents while a Progressive customer and each time they were wonderful. First was my fault and they fixed the minor damage on the car. I got a rental without any hassle. Second was more involved and the other persons fault. My progressive agent was constantly in touch, got the vehicle fixed and all medical bills taken care of. They even waived my deductible knowing the other ins. company would take responsibility for the claim (usually you pay it and then get it back when they decide the other person was at fault).

I would recommend them highly. I just got my renewal and my premium actually went down!!!

We had Progressive years ago and I couldn't stand them....BUT, we just recently tried them again and so far they have been great!! We actually just had to file a claim this past week. My DH was out at lunch with his boss and while they were in the restaurant his window got smashed and his laptop stolen...:scared1:
Progressive was great! A very nice man came out to our home and he had our estimate and a check for us to repair our window in less than 20 minutes!:thumbsup2 They have completely changed the way I feel about them. I am VERY satisfied with their service.:goodvibes

We have had them since 2003. We haven't had any accidents thankfully! If you get a quote from them they will also tell you what the competition will charge you which I thought was nice. :thumbsup2

I have Progressive and I have been really impressed so far. I switched just over 6 months ago, because they were saving me about $100/month off my former (Geico) policy. Whenever I need to call in with questions (e.g. change address, coverage verification, etc.) I always get a live rep on the phone very quickly, and they have all been extremely helpful (easy to understand, highly competent, able to do what needs to be done, etc.)

We haven't filed any claims, but our battery died last weekend. We called their roadside provider (since we have our roadside assistance through them) and a tow truck came to get us within 20 minutes. The driver was courteous, took us to our selected auto shop, and we didn't have to fill out any paperwork or pay for the towing (all done directly with Progressive). This might be how all roadside assistance companies work, but I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it was.:thumbsup2

Make sure your check rates for other policies elsewhere. Shopping around for auto saved me $1200/year, and shopping around for homeowners saved over $300/year... (both policies are with reputable, National brands. While I haven't filed claims, I have talked with live agents with both companies and have been pleased).

We have them for our 2 cars and motorcycle and never had any problems - they've always been very nice. :thumbsup2

We have had Progressive for years and filed many claims. Love their customer service. It would probably be cheaper for us to switch but one incident definitely got me.

My van was stolen from a K-Mart parking lot near us. My DH was travelling so I had my two boys with me. After I got home, I called Progressive. The next morning they had someone pick me up to get a rental car, gave me a check for a car seat and hurried my claim through so I could get a new car. Within 2 weeks, I had a check for the difference in my lease, they had paid for my rental and a new car. They definitely earned our loyalty.

Since then we have been hit a couple of times (luckily accidents were not our fault) and they have always been wonderful. Any extra cost is worth it for their outstanding customer service. Those new offices they have now where you drop off your car, pick up your rental and get your car back all in the same place are ideal - what a time saver!

We had Progressive back in 2007 and loved them. They handle claims so quickly. Unfortunately I had to switch back to State Farm because they were much cheaper when we added the new car.

Yes we have our Harley on a policy with Progressive. Thank goodness we have never had to use it. All other policies are with Nationwide. I doubt I would change my other policies to Progressive because the price is close to progressive and the fact my house and cars will be handled locally if there is a claim. Progressive would have to do an independant Claim Adustor for any claim in my area. This can take a while for them to set the claim up with an adjustor. My car and home is something I need daily. The Harley do not ride often.

DH has had several claims with Progressive from before we met, he swears by them and said they were fantastic. Won't let me change his insurance to my agent at State Farm, even thought State Farm actually has a slightly better rate.

Progressive does not write homeowners insurance but they will connect you with a company called Homesite.

We've had Progressive for 5 years and have never found another company with a rate even close to as low. We have had 3 accidents that were not our fault (all but one was a hit-and-run) - no problems with the claims service. My car was broken into thru the window at 11pm the night before Thanksgiving while we were out of town. I got a friendly agent on the phone that night. She understood that we couldn't make the 6-hour drive back to Minnesota (below freezing temps) with a missing window. She scheduled someone to meet us first thing Friday morning after Thanksgiving to replace the window. :thumbsup2

I will have to check out Homesite - I wish Progressive offered homeowners ins!

We had Progressive for several years and would still have them except that when DS got his license they offered no good student discount or driver safety training discount. I was realy sad when I called to cancel :(. We had one claim and it was a piece of cake. Thet were a great insurance company :).

I love Progressive. Had a claim about 8 years ago, and they were fabulous both on the phone and in getting a check to me within a week. We did leave for a short time as I got a better rate with my husband's company when we consolidated, but now my husband and I are back with Progressive. Highly recommend for good rates and great customer service.

Well, I got excited and checked, but unfortunately, Progressive is higher than what I have with Farm Bureau ($100+ over the six month timeframe). I just took a $10,000 a year paycut and would have loved to have found a way to make some easy cuts. It was certainly worth a shot anyway! :goodvibes
