Does Anyone Have Pet Insurance?

I was just wondering if anyone uses health insurance for their pet and if you think it's worth it. Our dog started limping about a month ago. We took her into the vet and they gave her a month long antibiotic and painkiller that hasn't worked. The last vet bill was $300 and I can't imagine how expensive it's going to be if she needs x-rays, surgery, whatever. We honestly can't afford a multi-thousand dollar vet bill right now. I realize that insurance doesn't cover pre-existing conditions, but if she's having problems now at the age of 5 I'm sure we'll have some again in the future. We're thinking about getting some insurance to cover emergencies and possibly even routine care. I'd love to hear from anyone who uses pet insurance and what you think of it.

We just got a puppy and at the top of our list was Pet Insurance. We're using Pet Plan http://www.gopetplan.com/

We have a $200 deductible and 100% coverage, but they have different options. Haven't had to use it yet (only have had him for about 4-5 weeks!) but I'm glad we have it, if (God-forbid) anything happens, I don't have to think about whether to treat him.
