I bought myself one last night at a local boutique shop. They're pretty pricey, but very well constructed and I think it's neat how you can change the outside.

Would love to hear opinions from others as my sister and I are thinking of getting one for our mom for mothers day - a base, a couple of shells, and some accessories..

I've never heard of them before but I checked out the website and I'm intrigued. I think that would be a great gift for someone who likes purses.

Just yesterday, I ordered a skirt purse from Thirty-One gifts. It seems like a similiar concept except with a fabric skirt.

My mother has one and LOVES it. She keeps promising to get me one. THe problem is their standard bag is too small for me and the larger one is too big.

I have one - the hospital I work at sells them in the gift shop, and we can just swipe our name badge, and its deducted off our paycheck. Dangerous for me!

Anyway, I have the standard one, not the mini, but not the huge bag either. It looks small, but is actually pretty wide. I could fit a lot in it. I carry a full sized wallet, checkbook, Coach wristlet that holds coupons and gift cards and stuff, phone, keys and sunglasses, and sometimes my phone charger and earphones. It's tight, but all of that fits.

Sounds like a great Mother's Day gift!

They have something like this at Costco. It came with 4 shells and you get to choose which ones you want. I was seriously tempted but they were $100 so I decided not to.

I don't like them at all - I've seen them in boutiques and I had a friend host a party. I think they are ugly and expensive for what you get.

They are way too heavy and their style IMO sticks out. I can recognize one from a mile away and I don't go "ooohhhhh its a Miche" I usually say something along the lines of, "there is one of those stupid magnet handbags"

Eh. They're neat, but not a new idea. In the early 80's there was the Papagallo/Bermuda bag that had wooden handles and interchangeable covers that buttoned on. I agree with the PP that it's like, "Hey, there's a magnet purse." Very easy to spot.
