Does anyone have a theory for the crowds?

I hear they have been high past couple of weeks. Any ideas why? I am going in two weeks to avoid the crowds!

I hope that is it. We have mothers day in the middle of our trip so I had better plan on that being busy too, huh?

My personal opinion is that is always busy during Spring Break and the weather down here has been great.

When the weather is nice or the kids are out of school, LOTS of locals go too. :wave2:

I agree many are still having spring break and the locals do take advantage of the parks, especially on holidays even Mother's day.

Spring break in May...I don't think so! :p Iwouldn't worry about a spring break crowd way too late for that.
But many colleges are out and of course nice weather will draw the locals. Check's Debs website calender of attendence at
http://allearsnet.com/pl/attend.htm That time of year is classified as "moderate attendence"

The original poster's question was why, for the LAST FEW WEEKS, has WDW been busy. We are not talking about spring break in May.

Also, I live about 90 mins away and I go a few times a month (Passholder :teeth: ) and the weather definitely does effect the crowds - so do the weekends and school. FYI, in my county, last day of school is 5/18 so I imagine the others won't be far behind ::yes::

We were there in early March and the crowds were much heavier than usual at that time of year. We had several cast members tell us that the attendance is up across the board this year (hgher than the millenium celebration), and that is making even the times that aren't usually that busy, busier.

What TeamMMouse posted,I would add some of the fear of travel since 9/11 has worn off and folks are feeling safer to travel.ºoº
