Does anyone have a seasonal pass?

I was about to buy the annual pass (since my cheap company isn't giving out freebies anymore <IMG WIDTH="15" HEIGHT="15" SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif" alt="razz"> ) then I remembered the Seasonal Pass Universal offers.

Kelly's book has the blackout days, all days I have no intentions of being anywhere near Universal Orlando.

It's about 60 dollars less than the Annual. Wondering if anyone thinks this is a better deal for someone like me? Are the annual pass perks worth spending the extra money??

Believe it or not, I'm not sure if they are still selling the seasonal pass. Last time I was there (renewing my AP for another 2 years) the person at Guest Services said SP's were being done away with in the near future. I know they were taken off Uni's web site but I'm not sure if you can still purchase them or not.

Hi, Jim:

I called because I noticed that also. The person who answered the phone told me that they are only selling these at the park and not over the phone or on the site. I wonder if I should wait,now...

Well I would say for your case if you can get an SP then it would definatly be worth getting instead of an AP. I believe SP's get all of the same perks as AP's, except that they can't be used on the most crowded days of the year (times you are best to avoid anyways). I'd just make 100% sure that they will still be selling them on the date you go.

The SP has the same benefits as the AP, except the SP has the blackout dates during the busy parts of the year.

Thanks, guys.

For those interested, the blackout dates during Easter week, June to August and the week of Christmas.

These are weeks I generally avoid like the plague!

I just bought a new seasonal pass over the phone today. I received a renewal rate (from my last year's seasonal pass) of $128. I too never want to be at Universal on its busiest days! The seasonal pass gives you all the discounts on food, merchandise, hotels, etc. as the annual pass, so for me it made a lot of sense to repeat. The agent I spoke to at the Passholder hotline (800)564-5764 mentioned that they are no longer advertising the seasonal pass and have taken it off the web site, but you can purchase it over the phone or at the parks.

Get it while it lasts!

The last I heard, they were renewing existing seasonal passes but not issuing new ones. Anyone gotten a new one lately?

Aloha Robin,
I bought mine in December and had no problem with it during my visit, except when I tried to use it to get the discount. Two times I was told that I could not get the annual pass discount of 20% on purchases, but when I argued I could they gave it to me. :) (The majority of the time I was allowed the discount with no problem) Getting that 20%, plus 10% before 3PM and 15% after 3 in the restaurants more than paid for our AP. You also get 10% off on VIP tours and for tickets for others. ;)

I received a Seasonel Pass for Christmas and the total was around $143.00, but my credit union was offering an Annual for $143.95 + tax so I upgraded for around $9.

I'll call that Passporter number tomorrow, the 1-888-UESCAPE number told they do exist but they don't sell it.
