Does anyone have a personal trainer

I started eating right and now I need to exercise. I dont have room or time to do this at home and I would like a one on one without joining a gym. We have a local trainer I was thinking of using but I know nothing about personal trainers. What questions do I ask him/her before I decide to hire them? What do I look for in a personal trainer? Anyone who has had experience in using a personal trainer please let me know the basics?! Thanks!
