I was wondering if anyone had a packing list for an almost 2 year old.
What are some tips that people have also?
We will be bringing our own stroller and some light sticks and some disney toys.
I"m wondering how many outfits do you plan on a day.. what little things not to forget.... etc.....
We will be going for 5 nights and going to two Princess meals.
Spending most of our time in MK and a little time in Epcot and MGM.
Thanks

Great topic! We will be traveling with a two year old also. Dining tips would be great!!!!! Also, how does everyone handle to waits in line?

I am planning for at least 2 outfits per day. I think that I will have to do a load of laundry while we are there. We are planning for long afternoon breaks and naps. I am bringing a "white noise" machine because he is a light sleeper. We are driving so packing isn't that big of an issue.

I've gone with mine as toddlers a few times....off the top of my head here's what I can think of:

2 outfits a day(unless you'll have a washer/dryer--then just one)
swimmie/floatie vest
disposable washcloths--I still like these for my 3yo
wipes(whole box-they come in handy for wiping off hands before eating, after rides, etc)
diapers, diapers, diapers
her own shampoo/conditioner(they all burn if they get in their eyes, but you don't want a break out from the harsh hotel stuff)
Favorite toy from home
Favorite blanket from home--I go as far as bringing her own PacknPlay sheet and pillowcase to make it as much like home as possible

One idea I got from here was to pack each outfit in gallon ziploc bags--right down to socks and hair bows. It does come in handy.

Before we had our daughter I had also heard about the packing each outfit in a zip lock!!!! I had forgotten about that one!!!! Thanks

We recently brought my 2year old GS, and I got some really great tips
1. Battery op fan for the stroller (clip on)
2. Ice pack - slip in between back of stroller & frame, there is a pocket there (keeps stroller a little cooler)
3. Screw-on tops to convert water bottle into training cup (one-step website)
4. If you are bringing your own stroller, make stroller signs for it (so no one mistakes it for theirs) we used wire ties and make 2 vertical signs to put on the handles of the stroller, so it would not interfer with folding it.
5. His blanket, don't know what we would have done without this one!
6. lollypops - for flight and in places we had to wait.

As far as waiting in line, try to fastpass as much as you can, and walk slowly in the line, it seems as long as they are moving they are fine, the second you stop it's hard.

Eating out will not be an issue, try to either make your reservations for character meals, and if not, try to plan for late in evening, chances are he'll fall asleep and you can have a relaxing grown-up meal.

Wait until you see your baby's face in WDW, you will have the best time ever. I'm so jealous, I want to go back. :cool1:

I'll post more tips as I remember them. ENJOY

I have heard about people getting a shoe organizer that you hang on the back of the door to organize things. Has anyone done this and how does it work for you. Would it be a waste being it is just two adults and a toddler?

Do you think two outfits a day are enough?

Dish soap to wash out sippy cups.
Finger snacks for the snack trap.
Playdough for the lines.

His:

Toothpaste and toothbursh
sunblock
sunglasses
vitamins
diapers
destin( only time he will get a rash is in WDW I think from the heat)
disp. bath wipes (head to toe)
disp. changing mats
baby wipes
them. and baby tylenol
sippy cups
gerber juice in small bottles (take these to the park and refill sippy cups we dilute w/water from baby center (free)and he stays hydrated.
clorox hardsurface cleaner (trvl size)
sponges for cleaning cup(we stay in dvc so they provide soap but centers have them too)
zip lock bags for everything
snacks (for park and plane)
crayons, paper, stickers, and small cans of playdough, small toys, post its
Baggalin bag acts as diaper bag and carries most of the above
swim diapers
clothes 1 per day plus extra 3

Ok so I think this is it, it may be a lot but, he is 2.5 and has been great last 4 trips! Good Luck:goodvibes

The only other thing that I would add, since you are driving is a portable dvd player with some Disney movies. My 2yr old DD loved watching the Mickey cartoons, then being able to see Mickey in person was priceless. Have fun on your trip.
