Does anyone have a Disney Room in their house

I've already started planning my Disney Room although a touch of it is in every room. I want my dream kitchen to be in the disney chrome line. The Mickey Toaster, waffle iron, teapot and barware. Every thing they have I want. Then I will do the counters, cabinets and walls to match with red black, silver and some white. I want it to resemble a retro diner.

For the border I am going to take a professional camera and photo the castle at night while it changes to each color combination. Then frame or decoupage.

For the floor, lol and only if i have money at that point. I want to be able to inlay the art posters like the architecture of the Castle, Tinkerbell and other posters they offer in the art stores. They will be a few inches down, with plexiglass or some sort of clear protectant over them. Then lite. Like a floor of lightboxes but postersize! If i can't afford all that then I will just have one or two very special pieces, maybe a lithograph set amongst the checkered floor. I've seen this floor treatment down with plaques and wall hangings, very cool.

My christmas tree is very disney too!

Our Bedroom is Disney themed.

We have a Mickey Mouse Comforter and sheets, a big stuffed Minnie ::MinnieMo and Mickey ::MickeyMo , a large Pluto in his dog house(we got that in a Disney Auction along with a Donald Duck) and we have old maps of Disneyland and some drawings a Disney pin artist did. I am still working on adding more things. I am going to cover my valances with Mickey Mouse Fabric we got off Ebay. Still need to finish that up before I can move on. We love it. :Pinkbounc

luvdisney81, neat idea!

I'm putting together a "Haunted Mansion" bathroom for DH. I have a Disney wall of pics and I'm also adding a shadow box of pins that have meaning to us. DH has a Disney shelf in his den at home and his office walls are covered with park maps, personal photos, and a Disney print.

The Haunted Mansion theme just happened, all of a sudden. 4 or 5 years ago, DH and DD picked out a vanity top with an unusual shade of turquoise. At that time, Ralph Lauren and Walmart (yes..... WalllyWorld!) had towels that matched and I stocked up at WalMart. Well, DH received a HM snowglobe for Christmas and he put it on top of the chest in his bathroom. That greenish-bluish-kinda turquoise color of the ghosts was the same as his towels!

I found metal fleur-de-lis shower curtain hooks and I have a very small metal fence segment to mount on the wall, also continuing the fleur-de-lis metal pattern. I'm adding little fleur-de-lis wall hooks. I've spent lots of time on eBay and have added 4 HM pins and a HM key to his collection. He took a gorgeous HM picture last year, so I'm going to frame in in a collage with some of the pins.

So, I'm using the metal fleur-de-lis' (like the finials on the outside gates), his personal HM photo, pins, his HM collection of snowglobes, memorabila & such, for a very personalized HM bathroom.

Those towels are just the perfect color, too!

I do not believe I am admitting this, and posting pictures  I love my Disney room which also serves as my little relaxation haven, but when you tell others you have a Disney room you get that look

Here's mine (keep in mind I'm 22 and this is my first house...not real extensive decorating  )

DH and I live in a Disney house, or so we are told by our kids. We have decorator plates that surround most of the rooms and WDCC statues fill our curios. I also have a "Hidden Mickey" room which my dd painted for me which is filled with more curios filled with other Disney statues. Then we have a blue Mickey and Minnie bedroom which is our guest room and there is the Mickey comforter and lamps with yet more shelving of Disney statues. Disney exists in every room of the house somewhere. My kids also accuse me of making the outside of the house in Castle colors - can I help it if it's grey brick with blue trim?

Can anyone tell me where to get the mickey pulls for the drawers? I noticed them on the Kohler site and also someone mentioned it in one of their posts!
Thanks,
Marilynn

I can honestly say the only rooms in this house that do not have Mickey/Disney are the two bathrooms, our bedroom(dh refuses to have Mickey in the bedroom) and the basement. One spare room is totally Princess, the other is Mickey and the Fab 5. DS who I might add is 20 yrs. old, his room has alot of Monsters Inc, and Finding Nemo. Living Room has all my Snowglobes on top of the Entertainment Center, and the China cabinet in the Dining Room has my valuable collectibles.(still waiting to get a curio cabinet)The family room where the computer is has alot of picture frames from Disney. Now we get to the kitchen. My kitchen is slate blue, and over the years I have been slowly finding items that matched. I bought the whole Chef Mickey line from WDW, cookie jar, salt & pepper shakers, etc. In the last couple of months the catalog has been carrying alot of slate blue. Well needless to say, I own it all, in fact I just ordered the true blue dishes, and glasses, they are on sale this weekend. My DH thinks I am a complete nut, I keep telling him it doesn't make me a bad person.
Oh, and then at Christmas my house is totally Disney, with a few snowmen. :earsgirl:

We got them at the Home Store in Downtown Disney. You could probably call WDW Merchandising and have them sent to you. (1-407-363-6200) They also had Minnie and some Pooh characters. They also had the hooks for robes to match.

Every room in my house has a little "Disney" in it. Several years ago, I had a party and it kept the kids very busy going around the house trying to find all the Disney stuff in each room. Sort of like Huckle Buckle Beanstalk.

I don't have a Disney room (yet) but recently during a house hunting expedition we toured a condo that had a Disney kitchen and a "home theater" room which was pure Disney. It was in the basement, painted black, had stadium seats and Disney posters all around the room. Even had the little lights along the floor. It was hilarious!

The only hitch - the owner was dismantling the theater and taking it with him. I think DH would have bought the house if the owner had agreed to leave the theater intact.

My bedroom is the Disney Room in our house. In fact we are moving to a new place and I painted my wall Mickey Pants Red, with Mickey Gloves White for the doors, and Mickey Ears Black for the baseboards and trims.

and I am not kidding about the color names, that is what they are really called.

My bed will be black and white. I have mickey border print. And of course all my Mickey Collectables, including all 100 McDonlads / 100 years of Magic Happy Meal Toys, and the Prints that came with pre-ordering DVD's from the Disney store

Thanks to KathyTX on the Technical boards, I was able to upload some pictures of my oldest DD's bedroom. I tried to get all of them, but we recently moved her room around and some are hidden. If you look closely to the right of Stitch, you can see Nemo and Dory waiting to be painted!
