Does anyone hate the Superbowl?

Absolutely NO interest in it - as well as all other televised sports (with the exception of figure skating).. When I was married to my first husband, I was literally a "sports widow"..:headache:

Fortunately my second DH had ZERO interest in sports.. He was more of a movie type guy..:thumbsup2 :lovestruc

I am a huge football fan. I love all the stuff about the Superbowl. Especially this Superbowl. It is going to be a great game. We are having a party and we have not done that in years. :cool1:

I called it the "stupid bowl" so I guess that pretty much sums up my feelings on it. I'll watch the commericals online later. I'm not even super interested in the half time show this year.

And I honestly don't understand the puppy bowl so I don't watch that either. I tried, I really tried, but I just couldn't get it.

I have no interest in football and had never heard of the Puppy Bowl before. My husband wants to watch the Superbowl if we are home just to see the commercials. He even said once, while some football game was on, "God, I hate football!" I was surprised that he was that passionate in the manner that he said it. What I have always felt was simply indifference.

That reminds me of an episode of the show "Aaahh!!! Real Monsters" called "The Great Wave". They had an annual surfing competition that takes place during half time of the Super Bowl when everyone flushes at once :lmao:.

Yay! I miss Ah! Real Monsters!!!! I miss the good Nickelodeon shows like Hey Arnold, Rocko's Modern Life, The Wild Thornberry's, CatDog, Doug and the like... the new cartoons kind of suck, for the most part.

I don't really care about football but I care about the Super Bowl for one reason, because the day after...

FOOTBALL SEASON IS OVER!

That in itself will make February 8, 2010 a wonderful day.

And it also means that baseball season is coming up :woohoo:

I don't hate it. My DH and son will watch it while my other son and I ignore it. I won't even be home. I'll be spending the day at a rabbit rescue shelter helping my sister find a new friend for her bunny. Actually, the bunny has to choose her own friend so we'll watch as the volunteers make introductions and watch for signs of bunny love (or bunny contempt!).

I only hate the Super Bowl because it means 7 more months until football season starts back up:sad1:

Love football, love the Super Bowl, and even moreso this year since we are in it!

Whether or not I watch the Super Bowl is contingent on one factor only: would I, during the regular season, tune in to watch the teams play? If not, then I will not make any special effort to watch the Super Bowl. Most of these games have been borefests.

We do not really care to watch sports on TV. It seems like a big waste of time. I would rather be outside doing something. TG most of my family and friends feel the same.

It is complete off our radar. We couldn't care less about most professional sports. I couldn't tell you who is playing.

Any occasion that calls for chicken wings can't be all bad:thumbsup2 Plus I'm a pool and it's always fun to see if we win:banana:

I am really not a sports fan but the year the Giants won was so exciting because I was watching with my brother who is the world's biggest Giants fan and I got such a kick out of seeing how excited him and his friends were. My kids still talk about that game and how fun it was. This year I'm getting together with neighbors and won't really pay attention to the game but I'm hoping that The Saints win.

I ignore it...So does my DH (he can't stand football). Thinking of doing some grocery shopping during it though. It will be the ONE time that going on Sundays don't require me to put a cow-catcher on the front of my cart to careen through the mobs of ppl. :thumbsup2

I love the Superbowl  especially whenever the New York Giants are in it. This year, I have to settle for routing for the sibling team. Oh, well! There's always next season.

The Superbowl is awesome IMO. Even the commercials are great fun to see. Plus the half time show. It's The Who this year too! Saw them live in '06, and they still rock. I've been in love with Roger Daltrey since I was 13. :lovestruc

We're going to my BFFs for the third year in a row to party there and eat a bunch of fun foods. What's not to like? :thumbsup2
