Does anyone go bagless?

That's why shorts with cargo pockets were designed! :thumbsup2

That's our plan too! Found great cargo capris (I'm so excited, no one has to be grossed out by my ugly kneew) and DH cargo shorts, so am hoping to eliminated even the fanny pack this year. Love sailing past bag check!!!

I carried autograph books and my camera in my bag. There were a few other tiny things, but, the main reason, I never went "bagless" (and beleive me, I wanted to) was the camera. When it started to rain, I put it in a ziplock bag, in the backpack.

I don't know what I would of done with it, in the rain, if not for my bag. (It's unfortunately not a tiny camera that would fit in my pocket)

nope not crazy...i absolutely HATE dragging a bag around..I have a skinny wallet / key keeper i got from Universal Studios that i use...if i got in my own car i put my car key on the key ring if I use disney transport I dont.. but its really small and fits right in my pocket...as for camera most people will think I'm crazy but I usually dont bring one ..

DITTO,,,less is definitely more when going to the parks :teeth:

We go bagless. I use DH as my "pack mule". Best part about it is you get right in the parks, no standing at the long security line.

nope, that's a brilliant idea. I hate getting all sweaty with a backpack or bag and having to fuss with it at every ride (we like our rides).

Me being a guy I usually stick with some cargo shorts and stuff the camera, wallet & keys into those, then we just have customer service deliver whatever needs to be delivered to our rooms for us.

of course, we don't have any kids and I'm sure if we did I'd be singing a different tune.

Cargo pants are the ONLY was to go. Love having hands free and moving right thru security. But as you can see by my signature I've done plenty of time with lots and lots of stuff. Love this freedom! :cool1:

I tried to go bagless one year but I absolutely can't go without my backpack now! I put my camera in it when we are on rides or eating to protect it, I keep extra clothes in there on AK day (for after Kali River Rapids). I also bring sunscreen, bottled water, a small hand towel, my cell phone, and my wallet all in the backpack. We put any small souvenirs we buy and extra park maps in there too. DBF and I alternate carrying it throughout the day but we absolutely HAVE to bring it! (maybe it's all in my mind but I don't feel prepared otherwise)

can i tell you that i was THIS close (can you see from where you are?!?! my finger are REAL close together) to being bagless. DS was finally old enough to carry his own fanny pack with change for pressed pennies, his autograph book and pen and his sunglasses. We suited him up with a bottle lanyard and i was finally free from being the Bag Lady. Carry your own crap or don't bring it, but don't give it to me to haul for you.....

THEN....

BAM - we had DD and now i am back to diaperbags and tons of extras to carry.

the up side....strollers carry lots of stuff and i only have to lug those bags when we have to ditch the stroller.

In the pre-toddler days, ABSOLUTELY! Now I carry everything but the kitchen sink (which we don't need only because I have a small cooler of water to drink and purell/wipes to wash our hands). Despite now being loaded with a stroller and a whole bunch of crap including the fashion disaster fanny pack, I still wear cargo capris and DH still wears cargo shorts. Map and poncho go in one pocket. I used to put skinny wallet in the other cargo pocket and carry disposible camera (lighter than 35 mm) back in the day but now we have a small nice digital (goes in ugly fanny pack). They are pricey but one day I'll get the waterproof digital camera case, throw the camera in my cargo pocket too and be bagless again...one day.

First of all I thought this Thread was about VACUUM CLEANERS..

ANYWAY, I would give anything to be able to go bagless 24/7...but unfortunately I have serious BAG issues. I HAVE to carry a bag...I am sort of obsessive/complusive about bags and purses, totes and backpacks!!!

ALSO, I have the NEED to carry numerous items when we hit the PARKS...camera, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, aspirin, women's items, etc!

Now this past trip I actually did (as well) the neck strap which held my KTTW card, photopass card, random fastpasses and a credit card as well as some cash...that being said I still NEEDED A BAG for everything else. My bag also becomes a STORAGE FACILITY for my entire family esp when they go on a coaster...hats, sunglasses, wallets, camera, etc...it all gets stuffed into MY bag until the ride is over.

ONE DAY SOONER THAN LATER..I WILL BE BAGLESS!!!!!! :thumbsup2

I was a fanny pack girl
The next trip
I am going totaly bagless
I just need to figure out what to do with the disposable camara

I wish I could go bagless, but if I bring my camcorder, I need the backpack. I also need to carry sunblock, bottled water, digital camera, etc...oh, and of course, everyone else's junk when we board a ride...maybe one day I can leave the camcorder behind, get a pair of cargo shorts stop being a 'bag lady'!! You people have inspired me. :worship:

Try finding some cargo capris/pants/shorts. Normally there not something I wear but when hoofing all around park for 2 weeks straight they become your favorite piece of clothing.

I even carried a cheap plastic poncho in one of the pockets which worked out great when there was a sudden down poor, no one wanted to be in the rain and we got first dibs on all the rides for about the 3 hours it was raining.

We always stay on property and go bagless all the time. All I need is my tickets, cards, and camera. I rarely carry a bag, unless I am hunting for charectors and plan on getting autographs. If it starts raining or we need something really bad we will go back to the room. Staying on property makes that really easy.

Is it necessary to go thru the bag check if you have no bags but still an umbrella stroller?

I am downsizing the bag this year...does that count? I am going from a large/medium messenger bag to a small/medium one. I am however making my kids wear fanny packs, mostly so they can carry and not lose their cell phones just in case (they don't use them so I'll have to give lessons before we leave). I also have to have basic first aid, medications, camera, autograph books, pen, tickets, money, lists of ADR #s...etc. It's just the 3 of us and I'd love to go bagless, but I think if I tried to put all that stuff in cargo pants they'd be so weighted down I'd be sporting a "plumber's crack" and end up on some shocking things at WDW thread.

We've always been able to skip the bag check if we just have the stroller. Not that we ever just have the stroller, but we do split up (one with the kids/stroller and one in the bag check line) to keep the lines down.

"Plumber's crack." Heh, heh.
