Does anyone go bagless?

Ahh the mysterious bag....the more you bring, the more you NEED. But do away with everything, and somehow...you can usually survive just fine. It's like Murphey's law or something. Seriously, if you carry hand sanitizer, band aids, etc. you'll surely find a situation where you need them! But get down to ID's, cash, and a room key - and somehow you manage. Even with kids! Not having to keep track of a bag at every ride is SOOOO liberating!

Cargo shorts are great, but do make certain the pockets zip or at least button. We let the man carry the camera (I'm not being sexist, they just usually get more pocket room.) One of the best pairs of shorts DH ever bought had all sorts of hidden pockets. WELL worth the money we paid for them. I think they were Haggar. I love to find them another pair.

As for water, you can even store a bottle or two in a cargo short knee pocket.

If you have a stroller, put only non-valuables there (water bottles, jackets, diapers, etc.). Last trip we came up with a new system to avoid the bag search. At the room, we put our water bottles in a gallon ziploc. Getting on the bus, everyone wore their jackets, tied them around their waist, or didn't bring one. WE also usually had a Disney plastic bag with us. At the park entrance, the water is clearly visible in the ziploc, and you don't have to do the bag search. Then you can throw the jackets (and water) in the bag if you don't want to wear them.

Dh and I each take a fanny pack and we have our camera and thats it.

Would love to go bagless and cruise past the security lines. However, ever since I dropped and broke a digital camera at WDW, I am afraid to go without my nice, very padded camera bag that I purchased at WDW to protect the replacement digi camera. This was the first time my stepkids had been to WDW and having good pictures was so important to me that I bought a replacement digi camera on that trip.

I can fit wallet etc into camera bag, so that is all I take. I just know I would break another camera if I put it in a pocket.

I think that's British for sweater.
I too go bagless. Cargo shorts are not JUST for men!
