I feel like a sixteen year old kid (I'm 39!) on my way to her first date! We are leaving Saturday and I'm so excited I can't even eat! I have a million butterflies in my stomach!!! Help!
I'm a grown man and even I still get them when I go to WDW. They'll be even worse, in a good way, the next time I go, as it will probably be for my honeymoon in 2007....at the Grand Floridian!
I get them as soon as the plane does its base turn into MCO and I can see the fireworks over the parks (I always tend to fly in around 9:30 in the evening).
I know exactly how you feel. I never get any sleep the night before because I'm way too excited. And then of course I act like such a little kid during the drive to the airport, the plane ride, the drive to the resort, and everything after that!
I definitely get the butterflies. But, get this. We are going to Southern CA Monday for a week long vacation. We're doing Disnelyand and CA Adventure 2 days. For some reason, I don't have the same butterflies or the same level of excitement as I would were we leaving for WDW on Monday. If that were the case, I would be fit to bust!! I'm sure we'll have a great vacation, but I guess I'm a little sad that we're not going to Florida - we've gone every year since our honeymoon in 1994. We've gone other places, but not that often.
Here's hoping I'll get those wonderful butterflies in my stomach soon. I rather like them. I miss them.
I have to say that the butterflies are mostly for the plane ride, worrying about missing connections and of course landing safely. I just get pure excitement once I arrive in Orlando. What a great feeling!
