Does anyone fly Airtran? Or know where to find a coupon code?

Hey all,
I am about ready to book airfare to Cancun on Airtran. I thought I read somewhere that there is a code you can use to save $25 each way.

Does anyone know where to find this code? Or any other ideas on saving $ on airfare to cancun from bwi?

I won a 7day all inclusive package (Last Minute Travel) , but getting there seems like it is gonna break the bank......

Sorry but the $25 coupon that was recently out is only good for Florida.

Unfortunately the current $25 coupon is only for travel on Airtran to or from Florida, so it won't help you for Cancun.

I have flown Air Tran in the past and will be flying them again to Orlando in October. No problems in the past but have noticed they are charging extra for checked bags ($15) and $6 extra each way to reserve seats. Not sure about other airlines but it almost seems like the $25 coupon is just offsetting what other airlines allow for free. Still a great deal though. Also, you can use one $25 coupon for each passenger you are booking on flights to Florida. I was able to get eight different codes because every one of us has our own email address. Air Tran allowed me to apply one for every passenger I booked Lastly, for anyone that doesn't know this yet if you delete your cookies after searching for flights the new prices will show each day. Recently my flights were fluctuating from $129 to $89 each way. I checked their website daily until I got what I guessed would be the lowest prices and we did OK.

Glad you were able to get a good price. I called airtran and they told me that if the price went down they would adjust it - I'm skeptical but will be watching it. I was able to use the coupons for seat assignments, and hopefully will be able to use them to check baggage also. I'm worried now I should have booked two one-way tix rather than a round trip, but I booked through our credit card points and that was for round trip.

Yes, definitely be leery. I booked at $89 each way but I continued to check every few days and one night it went to $79. When I called and asked them to adjust the price they said no and advised they don't do that. I know Southwest does. It seems to be a subjective thing, maybe it just depends on who you get on the phone (an all too common phenomenon these days). It's smart of you to stick with it and keep checking because I have noticed prices have been all over the place. You may just get lucky and hit it just right. GOOD LUCK

What type of coupons for checked bag fees??

I used the sunshine rewards vouchers to book our trip for Dec. I clicked thru Kayak.com to book the flight on Airtran.com and got the seat assignments for no charge.

If I could get my bag fees down I might be able to swing that new stroller I'm looking at!

I'm talking about using the sunshine rewards vouchers for baggage, someone earlier said they were able to use them for that.
