Does anyone else wish Disney had a Starbucks?

I think the kiosk in Africa at AK is the best place in WDW for coffee and it isn't even that great. I would LOVE a starbucks or anything that passes as decent coffee. I admit Starbuck's isn't the best but it's much better than what they have to offer right now...

We'd vote for Starbucks AND more locations of the Royal Anandapur Tea Company!

I think carrying around Starbuck's via instant might be a good idea. You can always get a cup of hot water where ever they sell tea & coffee.

1) People would still complain.
2) Now, they would complain the water wasn't filtered and had a bad taste.

Nope. I'm not a fan of Starbucks. I know a lot of people dislike the coffee at The World, but I for one thinks it's okay. I'l drink any form of coffee though. I would like to see Dunkin Donuts somewehere there, but I'm a born and bred New Englander so I have no choice about that.

Has anyone tried the Contemporary Grounds at the CR? The web site says they have late/cappuccino and specialty coffees?

Yes. I ordered a cup of coffee with a shot of espresso. It was still weak and not very flavorful. So far, the best onsite coffee I've had was at the Kona Grounds (I think that's what it is called) at the Poly. It still is not Starbucks though!

We love Starbucks and would love more flavorful coffee at WDW.

We brought the Via packets on our last trip and carried them around. They work really well and are full of flavor.

I am not a Starbucks fan but anything has to be better than that brown water they have down there. I could happily live on Dunkin Donuts as my only fluid intake but my kidneys disagree.

I tried to get a cup of Kona at the Poly coffee bar...blech. I don't know if they gave me Kona and it was crap or if the person didn't listen to me. I was NOT happy.

Luckily we stay at DVC or deluxe resorts so the coffee pot is always there. I am the coffee master and won't let anybody else make it when I'm around. I also must have half and half and plain sugar or I might as well not drink it.

I think the best coffee drink I ever had on property was at Typhoon Lagoon in late October. I was freezing and got some froo-froo drink but wow was it great!

I think I might try the Via sticks, sounds like a good option and cheap enough to try at home first.

I'm heading off to get my 3rd mug for the day...mostly decaf though.

If you didn't like the coffee bar coffee at the Poly, then you'd hate Contemporary Grounds. THAT was definitely brown water...even WITH the shot of espresso. The Poly was slightly  more flavorful.

Hope you like the Via. FYI, it is much stronger that Dunkin Doughnuts coffee. :thumbsup2

But that would instantly disqualify Starbucks anyway.

I said decent, not the world’s greatest coffee.

I am not expecting Aloha Island Gold 100% Kona coffee in Disney, but I would not mind it.
I am not expecting Kopi Luwak "Monkey Butt" coffee.
I do not even think you are going to see Lucaffe or Lavazza in Disney either (maybe a stand in Italy would be nice though).

I do think Starbucks or Dunkin are options that the masses would be happy with.
I would even be happy with a Tim Horton’s, but they are not that well known in most of the US IMO.

Anything is better at this point then what they are calling coffee and charging 3-4 for.

I still am shocked at how bad the double espresso was at Kouzzinna, especially since they grind their own beans. I would have loved a Starbucks Italian roast double espresso at that point, I do not care that it is "Corporate Coffee". It is better than the brown water we seem to be accepting because it is served by the Disney Corporation.

There might be hope. I read on another Disney Info website that DL is thinking about Starbucks on property. :rolleyes1

not starbucks, but a good coffee and latte option would be nice. I can make WAY better than nescafe at home. Fortunately for me, I get hot easily and when I am hot I don't want coffee. (from eastern Cda so even in Nov I am packing shorts!) I will miss the iced capps tho!
