Does anyone else watch Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern?

I love the show, but I find it almost unwatchable because of the way the guy smacks his lips every time he takes a bite! I'll watch about 10 minutes of it, then have to turn it off because he makes me want to scream.

Anyone else notice this?

I rather watch Andrew Zimmerman than Anthony "I'm too good for you people" Bourdain. But I'm going to have to watch the lip smacking thing..that is hilarious.

I watch him sometimes, but what really gets me is that he seldom chews his food. Maybe 3 - 5 cursory bites before he swallows it down. How can he tell how something tastes if he is practically inhaling it?

I've never watched Anthony Bourdain. I'll have to check him out sometime.

I was looking on youtube for some of the lip smacking, but I can't hear it on my computer! He'll usually pop something in his mouth, smack smack smack, then comment on how it tastes, then swallow.

I guess I just have a thing against lip smacking!

Have you seen the things he eats??? Would YOU chew those things? I think by not chewing is the only way he CAN get those things down!

I love the show and we are forever mocking him. "So what they do is scrape the inside of their toilet pipes and serve the residue on crackers. The crackers are made from an interesting blend of vanilla and field mud. And I will tell you that it has a nutty flavor. Very interesting. More gamey than I expected, but there is a real essence of roast pork that I like."

You have to use the words "nutty" "pork" "essence" and "gamey" at least one time in each sentence.

He's doing a culinary demo at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival around Halloween & we are going to it. I can't wait to see what he cooks up!

I love his show, and we watch it quite often, but I agree about the smacking. I wish the producers of the show would get him to chew a little more gracefully.

OMG yes that is one of the reasons I stopped watching. I was more disgusted by that then the food he ate.

I don't even notice the lip smacking. That is because we have lip smackers in our family. That is funny.

I like that show. I never noticed the lip smacking, but now I'm sure I will. Maybe he's doing whatever he can to get the bad taste of the food out of his mouth?
