Does Anyone else WAIT until school starts to clothes shop?

We wait here too. I do buy dd (16) a new shirt for her pics that get taken two weeks before school. I do buy them a new pair of shoes, because they have wore their old ones out.

We typically wait. We don't buy them a large amount of clothes at any one time rather I buy throughout the year as the sales come around. It's harder to buy in advance for my older kids but I do where I can. So for back to school I buy a few outfits and they wear the stuff they already have. I used to go all out and buy a new wardrobe for them at the start of the school year but I just spent more money then I needed to. I started shopping for this school year at the begining of summer. Since they wear tshirts nearly year round they pretty much always have new shirts and we wait for really good sales on the rest. As in I'm a cheapo and don't pay more then like $5-$10 bucks for jeans. Normally I get them new shoes at the start of the school year until I saw the mountain of shoes my girls have because they are always getting new ones, so this year I didnt.

This is the time to buy summer clearance, so that's what I've been doing. Picking up swimsuits, shorts and t shirts from their favorite stores around $5 or less. They each got 2 pairs of new shoes, one casual and a pair of gym shoes.

If I couldn't afford it, then they would get nothing. All that stuff on the racks now will be on sale by the end of September. Just in time for us when the cooler weather settles in.

I will take my DD9 to Justice next Friday to spend the J Bucks we've earned.

I also look for JCPenney's Red Zone Clearance cards with coupons that come through the mail.
