Does anyone else sleep in at Disney???

I probably would if I ever got to stay for 10 days. I can't imagine getting to stay that long, that would be great! But being there for 5, we tend to be more commando. Just how it is!

It depends on vacation length...In April I am only there 2 and 1/2 days......I will be at the parks by 9am........

In October for sunday to sunday..we will get up early a few days and sleep in/lounge a few days....

We tried sleeping in, but were never very successful. I'm a very light sleeper and there was way too much noise after 7am at the resorts.

Well, working nights I tend to sleep in the rest of the year. I know I'm on vacation when DH is waking me up at 6:30-7 a.m. :goodvibes
I admit it. We're the type of people who generally need a vacation to recuperate from our vacation!

we usually go for ten nights, but I have to say that I'm up at 6:45 every morning getting everyone ready for the parks. I can't help it. :cool1:

That is me also. I am always so excited I can't wait to get to parks.
DH is the one getting me up early when we vacation in Vegas! :rotfl2:

We are late sleepers. One of these days we will see the rope drop (but I am not holding my breath-lol). We also tend to be night park people, although we have never closed the park down either.

We're up- maybe- by noon. But we've never gone back to the hotel for a break, we stay until they kick us out at night. Most of our days at the parks ends up being after dark. It works for us.

My husband and I don't sleep in at WDW. We can sleep late at home, which is about 6 a.m. for us. We like to get up and get going. We don't just get up and hit the parks early. We enjoy visiting other resorts for breakfast. On our last trip we went to Kona Cafe bright and early and walked around the resort. We then walked to the Grand Floridian and caught the Monorail to the MK.

Life is too short to sleep late, in our opinion.

My sentiments exactly! and here I am up, showered and dressed on my day 'off' (home with the kids) See you at the rope drop!!

We sleep in a couple days (esp after a PI night), but mostly we like to hit rope drop. We're early risers IRL & our body clocks automatically wake up early anyways.
I love getting to the Park, doing our favorites & leaving for lunch as we see the hordes coming in. I get a little giggle knowing that I did Space Mountain 5 times back to back in the time they have to wait for one ride on it.

Like another poster said, we hit it hard for a couple hours in the morning & then have a very relaxing day afterwards.

We don't have kids and don't plan on having them, so that makes a bit of a difference on vacation.

I have a very good bed at home, if I want to sleep I'll stay at home ;)

Personal opinion of course. The thing is that I come all the way from Belgium and am addicted to Disney. I want to see the parks and the Disney Magic, sleeping in is missing hours at the magic... Once I come home from a Disney trip I can sleep in at home to catch up on lost sleep.... :thumbsup2

Paying all that money to be at the world and then stay in bed... nah, that I can do at home

(this is a personal opinion so no hate mail please :teeth: )

We are up early and at the parks by opening, I'm the one tryng to get 3 teens out of bed. I think I'm more anxious than them to get to the parks, they would probably prefer to sleep in, too bad. We need a vacation after a Disney vacation.

In a few more years they will all be in college and I can finally go solo :teeth: .

We like to sleep in as well. I am on vacation, no need getting up to early. The parks will still be there :goodvibes The only time I do get up early is if we have breakfast seatings, but I normally make those for the latest possible time. Then we are good to go till dinner. I like closing the parks, not opening them :teeth:

Up and at 'em for me...I like to be there when the rope drops!!! I like to get every possible second in the parks. When I make ADRs for breakfast, we usually go for 7am, so we can get to MK shortly there after!!!

Us too!!! We prefer the parks after dark! My favorite part of the whole Disney trip is being in MK after the crowds leave, with the music playing, Main Street all lit up with white lights. So magical! The only early mornings for us are for ADR's at Cindy's before the parks open. Love that too, though just not as much.

Isn't it great that we don't all want to be there at the same time? :thumbsup2

the best part of being in the parks is being there after dark-----smaller crowds, cooler temps, nice light displays, etc. I know that I could never last that long if I would have been up by 7AM that day.

hey MS, thats a nice area..........I've since moved out of Pitts, and now live about 1hr east (due to work). I still go back home quite often tho.

I am usually up early...excitement....the rest of the family would sleep 'til noon if I let them.

We are up by 7:30 and at breakfast by 8. We have found there are less people eating breakfast in the restaurants at that time, and we can get on a bunch of rides with little waits at park opening.
