I took my kids to the movies the other day to watch Nemo. After the movie was over, we had to play the video games in the foyer. I forgot how much I used to love to play Galaga (I miss atari sometimes). Anyone else like to play that game? I can't remember which was my favorite-Galaga or Space Invaders though. I haven't played SI in a long, long, long time.

MY DH just purchased a game for his Gameboy that has Galaga, Pole Position, Dig Dig & Pac Man. It really took me back. Now, if I could just find Mr. Doo or Space Invaders, I'd be happy.

I remember those. But, surely it was in an other life for all of us since we are all so young :)

{{sigh}} Galaga...

The last time I played Galaga, I got 550,000+ points. I was at Pizza Planet (MGM) when I played. It's the highest points total I ever got. My previous was about 410,000+. What an improvment that was.

It makes me want to play my Namco Museum Vol.1 on my PS2 (game is on there).

One of the many things I want to do in my life is own an actual coin-op Galaga machine (along with Joust, another all-time favorite of mine.)

If you have a PlayStation, go find Namco Museum Vol. 1, it's got Pac-Man on it as well as Pole Position and Galaga. And while you're at it, find Volumes 2 and 3. They have Dig-Dug, Ms. Pac-Man, Xevious and even the original: Galaxian! Volumes 4 and 5 aren't as good. They have a majority of games I never heard of.

Never Von? My ds got mad at me because my quarter lasted longer than his did.:teeth: I had an advantage, I can see the screen better since I'm taller than he is.;)

MMC, I don't have a PS2. I might need to go get one though.:teeth: I'd love to have a coin operated game too.:)

JM, lol, I'll readily admit I'm a child of the 80's.:teeth: But if you want me to say I was a child of the 90's I will (since we're the same age;)).

SL, I might need to get a gameboy too.:teeth:

never shannon... and i'll admit, i'd never heard of it either.

i don't want to hijack your thread, BUT i tried to mail you a bagel today and the postal guy caught me and gave me a 5 minute lecture on mailing food. (how would a bagel leak, anyway? )

I bought a game for Nintendo 64 that has Ms. Pacman, Galaga, Dig Dug and Pac Man. I love to play those games with the kids, they think their Mom is so cool because I get really high scores. LOL

It's fun, Von.:)

 I bet your postal guy doesn't know how to stick his tongue out either.:teeth:

AM, my ds thinks I'm cheating his turn everytime we play any of those kinds of games. It's like riding a bicycle. Some of those games, I haven't played in years, but after a few tries, I look like I play them all the time.:teeth:

We have galaga on Mame 32 for the PC. and we love it.

My DH plays it all the time, and my son is pretty good at it too.

I can always tell when they are playing it because of the sounds!
