Does Anyone Else Know.....

the names of ALL the Presidents, in order? I do, because that was our end-of-the-year exam in history when I was in the 8th grade. We had to memorize all the last names of the presidents and recite them aloud to the class. The one who could say them the fastest won a special prize. I remember the boy who won, but don't remember what he won. Anyway: Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Adams, Jackson, Vanburen, Harrison, Tyler, Polk, Taylor, Filmore, Pierce, Buchanan, Lincoln, Johnson, Grant, Hayes, Garfield, Arthur, Cleveland, Harrison, Cleveland, McKinley, Roosevelt, Taft, Wilson, Harding, Coolidge, Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon! Well, Nixon was president when I was in 8th grade!!

Okay Times are changing..DD just learned them in FIRST grade...it is so sad when your 6yo know things that you have no idea about!!

My son was learning the presidents.... this year as well.

I know the presidents in order from Filmore to Harding. We had to know them in 7th or 8th grade for a test too. I still remember at recess we made up a song with the names of them. The only part of the song that stuck was from Filmore to Harding.
