I am now fully intrigued by the upcoming Tomorrowland movie and the viral, almost covert, marketing campaign. There is a backstory, clues that are complete with telephone numbers, twitter accounts, and Long Play records that overlay secret narrations to classic Disney rides.

Remember the box that Brad Bird found at the Disney Archives labeled "1952?" The same box that was at the D23 Expo in 2013.

I watched the video below and then started researching the images in the video. Wow, just wow!

If you want to find out more, start by watching the video above.

This is Disney's new ARG (Augmented Reality Game) Marketing.

If I would have known about the ARG at the time it was started, I would have been soooo all over it.

I've been anxious since the original trailer ....but now with this, I'm going to start digging into this video. Providence, huh -very interesting.

I found the backstory concepts, and the tie-ins to some of the places that many of us have been to, very cool.

I am so behind on this. I have enough issues dealing with reality, I'm not sure if I can handle Augmented Reality. :crutches:

If were are both lost on a lush, but deserted island, perhaps, Kevin, John, Jeff, Val or Kathy will find us.

Don't count on it. :beach:

Lost actually did their own ARG one summer between seasons of the show that you only caught if you realized that in the middle of an episode there was a really weird commercial for something called 'Mittelwerk Industries'. That rabbit hole cost me a summer of my life, and culminated with people who were playing 'saving the planet' from a corrupt billionaire, learning the location of the sunken plane near the Marianas trench, and watching as the character we'd been helping to spy on this evil corporation go full on meta and confront the show's writers at Comiccon about using a real tragedy for their own entertainment purposes. It was super trippy, weird, and confusing. I'd never trade a second of it for anything. I just wish I'd been able to go to one of the Apollo chocolate bar giveaways (a staple on Lost in the Dharma bunker, Alias, and Once Upon a Time! The lost folks love their fake chocolate and bring it with them wherever they go!).

The plot thickens. Brad Bird Tweeted this picture yesterday from the Tomorrowland scoring sessions...

...Brad Bird, Richard Sherman, & Michael Giacchino.

...and the Japanese trailer has more "Disney" tie-ins...

Looks like the video was taken down, but screen caps have surfaced...
