This thread surprises me....whenever I'm at Disney...I can BARELY get into the hot tubs onsite..lol I personally love them...and yes...I'm a health care worker!
Of course if I thought it wasn't being maintained properly I may have second thoughts....but I don't think Disney would be that careless. Matter of fact, a couple of years back...there were so many chemicals in the WL one that my red suit ended up coral the next day...

I certainly don't advise putting your head under either! You wouldn't put your head under in your bath water so why would ya do it in a hot tub...?? I also don't feel like its sharing bath water with a friend either....in a bath, the purpose is to scrub off your dirt....I've yet to see anyone 'scrubbing' themselves in a hot tub...and I would think them QUITE strange if they were...lol You should also shower before you enter the tubs...and I always try too....and hey...if you shower with a friend....it saves water!

Hmmm, I guess if more folks dislike the tubs...that will leave more room for little ole me...
My thoughts are...you can get just as many GERMS in the hotel bedcovers or in public pools...probably even more so than a hot tub...think about it folks.... Also, if you have a weakened or compromised immune system, then you should also be more careful about exposure to anything...ie: pools, hot tubs..public places..etc
happy planning,
