Does anyone else have a house full of beanie babies?

I collected them for a while, then didn't really care for them anymore. But I know someone who is really into them, so now I'm back to collecting them again. I only get a couple bears each time they release new ones. I just can't help it, some of them are so cute!! All I can say is that when I have kids they are going to have lots of stuffed animals to play with... :teeth:

I recently gave all mine to an orphanage in China. The little girls do appreciate a pal of their own. :flower: Someone I knew was going to China and so that's how they went.

What a sweet gesture!!!!!!! How wonderful. You know they will be going to good homes.

My neighbor was donating all the rest of hers to foster care program for the children. I thought that was great too. :goodvibes

I had forgot about my beanies. They are all snug and stored away downstairs.

Started collecting only bears about 5 + years ago. I have all the biggie ones but they are stored in a rubbermade storage box too. I got sick of seeing them around the house. I have special holiday Disney ones that I pull our for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas but the rest of the year they are in storage.

Are beanie bears worth anything anymore? I know my Halo was quite pricy as was Princess Di and many others I had. Now I don't think they are worth anything (but they are still cute)

I used to collect the dogs. When my son got old enough to walk though, he started "borrowing" them one by one, and now they are all his! :rotfl: He loves beanie babies, we pick them up for a dollar or two at the flea market a lot, he has quite the collection now.

I just inherited about 10 LARGE totes of them.My MIL gave them to me to sell. Not too sure how to do it.She said it was to help with the kids' Christmas. My DD6 has some in her room that she plays with.

I think we have 2 and both are perched on Chris's desk.

I have an OBSCENE amount of beanie babies! I will never forget buying them when they were "hot" and making sure my oldest never touched the tag. Now, my youngest...pulls the tag off every beanie he gets his little grubby hands on! :p

TONS! I have about 300 beanies, 50 buddies, 50 attic treasures and the first 9 kids plus a few of the classics. WOW! I hate that they are mostly packed away b/c I really love them all and would love to set them out.

I kinda feel bad keeping them when other people would love to have them but I can't seem to part with them although I have gave a few away over the years. I have not collected them in years though.

I remember when they were just so hot and I would be out at 5am on Saturday mornings in line at the places that had got new ones in. I met so many people and the hunt was so exciting and fun. I miss it.

My fave is Peace. I love how each one looks so different. I have 50 peace bears alone. I really want to be able to set that collection out. I worked hard at picking those. :goodvibes
