Ok, I ordered some books on Monday and they are to be delivered today by the UPS man (I know that's not PC, but MY UPS "person" is a man). I am a tad bit obsessed when it comes to my books; when Holly first noticed them and tried to *shudder* touch them, Remy said "NO HOLLY!! Those are mommy's pretties and we can't touch those until we're 16." Everything happens at 16 in OUR house which is why Remy always says, "Won't it be soo much cooler when I am 16, mom?" BTW, my books are now in a secured location. Anyways, back to my UPS man! I have checked the website a dozen times and even called to make sure that my package will be delivered today. Ok, while I will admit I am starting to feel like a "stalker", my books were "accidently" put on a truck for delivery in Tenn. on Tuesday (they did not realize their mistake until I called) and I want to make sure no one else gets my books! I also HATE to wait for them when I know they are this close LOL. I am pretty sure my UPS man and I have a love/hate relationship (he knows me by name as I have tons of packages delivered). Don't worry, I am putting this on my "things to be discussed with my therapist (sp?) list". For peace of mind though, am I the only person who does this?!

What kind of books are these :scratchin

Yes I hate the wait for my UPS guy because he never gets home til about 8 or 8:30 at night :teeth:

I have been known to stalk my UPS man (and yes he is a man) when I am expecting packages.

Esp when it comes to my FIRM workout videos :) - Seriously!

I think of it this way. What could be better than a cute guy wearing shorts bringing presents!:hyper:

My UPS guy (yup, I got one too) comes at 11:30 AM when he comes here, or there abouts. So when I am expecting something and it isn't here by 11:35AM, I know it is not coming that day. :)

HOWEVER, I could tell you the story about my laptop if you all want to hear it

I guess I'm the only one who has an unattractive UPS man. Yes, I hate waiting for a package, I'm supposed to have one delivered today. (my anniversary present) He also smokes, my packages always smell. I'm not knocking smoking, if you want too, thats your choice. I just don't like the smell.

That was gonna be my answer!!:p ........................P

I'll bite, what happened with your laptop? [/B]

I ordered my laptop from Dell and the told the girl to ship it to my WORK, cause I KNEW that someone had to sign for it and nobody is EVER home. Well, the ditz had it sent to my house!!!

So, I kept track of it online from the time it left the warehouse till it reached my door. I knew the day it was coming (Friday) the ONE day there is NO way I can get off or take off early.

So, I wasn't real sure at that time what time the ups guy came to my house. My mom said that she would take off work at lunch time to get it.

By the time my mom got home, she had missed the UPS dude by like FIVE minutes!!!

Ok, so ON the phone I get to dispatch. I get off work at 6PM the dispatch place in our town closes at 7PM.

I called and asked dispatch to track down that truck and I would meet him somewhere, well, they wouldn't do that something about safety

So then I ask if they can just go back and drop it off cause my mom is there now, and they said that they don't DO that.

Ok, so fine, I am NOT waiting till Monday for my laptop, tell the driver to drop it at dispatch and I will pick it up there.

Well, the driver was nice enough to go BACK to my house and drop it off. :teeth:

Needless to say at THAT moment, I fell in love with my UPS guy. :lovestruc

Your lucky your UPS man didn't just leave your computer at the door. I was supposed to sign for ours that we bought in 2001 and the guy just dropped it off on my porch with a note (it was delivered a day early). I WAS at home (in the shower LOL) but I never signed for it. I called both the UPS office and Gateway to complain and while Gateway said that I was supposed to have signed for it, the UPS office said it was up to the discretion of the driver if they left things or not! I don't care that we had a 1/2 mile driveway to the house we lived at, I still do not want my packages left where they could be stolen (expecially a computer). All I can say is thank goodness I WAS at home and not at work or shopping in town! (Oh and my car was in the garage, so he didn't know anyone was home. I didn't even know that it had been delivered until I went out to go to my mom's for dinner at 5pm.)

Lori

LOL!!! So is mine!!! Actully I have upgraded, use to have an older gentlemen, very nice, but was old enough to be my grandpa. I could tell he was not to thrilled when DH would order these huge buckets of salt {for his saltwater tank} cause they are heavy. The UPS man that I have now, sure can lift those buckets. LOL!!!

All of DH's stuff that he orders for his salt tank comes by UPS, thank goodness for small favors. LOL!!! Nothing like getting some eye candy to make the day better. LOL!!!

I left a NOTE on my front door for the UPS guy to leave the laptop on the BACK porch, cause my mom was coming home at lunch and I KNEW that he would be there about that time. And I don't live in a bad neighborhood (I rarely lock my doors at night)! So I didn't worry about anyone stealing it.

But the guy wouldn't leave it.
