Does anyone else go to a park just to hang out?

YES!! We love just strolling around. I love listening to the music in diferent areas of the parks and because of Mousetrips radio I get to hear that all of the time now, and it makes it so easy to shut your eyes and I can be in the Pizzafari area at AK or the entrance to EPCOT in a matter of seconds:)

My favorite memory of the MK is a morning I spent with my younger sister. My one son had gone off with my BIL and my DH and DS1 went off so my younger sister and I went to the MK and just watched people and looked in shops. We only went on 1 or 2 rides the entire morning but it is a very fond memory I have.

I will never forget that while we were having breakfast outside the Bake Shop a worker started dancing to the music they were playing in the park. When the music stopped we applauded him and he bowed and then went on his way. It was a great morning.

We have been so many times, we have our usual "must do" attractions. Then we leisurely browse or just find a nice place to sit and people watch. We always discover something new every trip that we would have missed if we had been Rambo-touring.

In fact, I sometimes miss the long lines when we go off-season or get fast passes. We enjoy the wonderful theming and attention to detail in the queing areas.

We always just go and hang out. We never have an agenda or stick to a schedule and this works out best for us. It is so relaxing this way and it makes for the most memorable times. We absolutely love just going to MK and wandering around Main Street for a half a day. There is just so much detail that you miss if you don't do this!:teeth:

I love to just sit and absorb the atmosphere of the parks. Its just such a nice place to be.

I kind of had a feeling I wasn't the only one. This is how you truly discover the "magic."

That's probably my favorite thing to do on my yearly solo trips-find a rocking chair, sit, listen to the music, and people watch. I'm in the process of learning where all the rocking chairs are in WDW! So far, my favorites are in MK-in front of LTT, on TSI, and on the porch of the Kitchen shop near HM.

We love doing this! Dh and I often say to each other how much we enjoy just "being" in the different parks; they each have their own charm. We love to just get something to eat or drink, relax on a bench, and "people watch".

Simba's Mom - Come on over to BWV we have some rocking chairs out front, I'll even by the coffee:D

Well, while I must admitt I've never been one to just "relax" at a park :) we did do something that was kinda relaxing.

We rode the monorail around and around and around for almost an hour! I know; we're nuts. But it was hot and we were tired but we didn't want to leave for the hotel. It was fun watching all the people come on and go off and you really got a nice view of the grounds! :) :)

This year's trip I think will have lots of relaxing buildt in. My son is older and we're bringing guests with us; his friend and his Mother. So with the boys being 13 and 14 I can see us "adult" relaxing more.

However, I must admitt, this is a hard concept for me to grasp. I'm usually all gun ho at WDW! :)

Alice Sr. - we may meet up on the porch of the BWV. That's one of my favorite places.

New rocking chairs!! I recently found the ones at BC, but I've never been over to BWV. Are they overlooking the boardwalk? I think you'll find me there in January, maybe May while the rest of my family is at ESPN.
