As I'm planning my wedding, I keep wishing I was planning something permanent, or at least recurring. I can't believe I only get to do all this fun stuff once!

For instance, I'm only going to get to spend a few hours at the Attic - I want to go there *every* time I'm in Walt Disney World! Heck, I want it to be my living room!! :rotfl:

Lurkyloo, if you keep vacationing in Walt Disney World, it should help ease your feeling of emptiness. Especially if you join the DVC and know that you will be vacationing there frequently for the next couple of decades. Planning vacations is always fun.

Don't forget, that after your wedding, real life will kick-in again and you'll soon be sucked into what I like to call the "Black Hole" -- that other-world called "work." You'll probably find yourself spending all your time at your job and your spouse will complain that you're never around.

Oops! That was me after my FTW vow renewal, hee hee hee! ;)

Where is your wedding site in EPCOT? We are renewing our vows in the Courtyard of Italy with a buffet brunch at the Attic afterward :goodvibes

I do think it gets in your blood, right Janet? I am also a DVC member!!

I think you guys are right - I'm already scheming to get DVC someday :cutie:

We're getting married in Morocco and then taking a Friendship Boat to the Attic for our reception. I can't wait! :goodvibes

WithDisneySpirit, oh, your vow renewal sounds lovely. Italy is such a beautiful venue, as is the Attic.

And, yes, it does get in your blood. I think being a DVC member can be dangerous to one's bank account! ;)

Uh-oh! It sounds like you've caught the bug, Lurkyloo! But it's kinda a nice bug to catch (of course, I'm extremely biased!). ;)

Morocco is a beautiful venue -- it should make for lovely wedding photos. And I adore the Attic. Your photos there will be as equally as lovely. I am jealous of both you and WithDisneySpirit. The two of you are going to have simply stunning FTW photos, ~sigh.~

Is it an extra charge to do the friendship boat over? How many guests will it hold? We will have to charter a bus for the wedding and the part I have difficulty understanding is what if you only need the bus for a couple of hours in the morning and in the evening? Do you charter it twice for the minimum?

As I get closer to my renewal (5-27-08), I am finally starting to get into the planning more :goodvibes

Oh, let me tell you - I too have difficulty understanding the bus policies! I've written a couple posts about my frustration with the 5-hour minimum on charter buses, which is too short to cover an entire ceremony and reception and too long to justify having two separate charter buses, one at the beginning and one at the end.

As it stands, we will have to hire the charter bus for something like 8 hours, even though we only need it for 2 hours at the start and 2 hours at the end. True, we could use it to take our guests to the reception in the middle, but we're splurging on the boat cuz it's so much cooler! It's $250 for a one-way boat trip, and I'm not sure how many it holds. 40? I don't think it's 50.

Now one way you might solve the bus problem is - IF you only have guests staying at 2 resorts - doing a round-trip bus twice instead of a charter bus to 4 places like we have. The round-trip bus is cheaper, and you don't have to keep it for a minimum numbr of hours. I just wish we'd known this before we told our guests they had 4 hotels to choose from... ;)
