Does anyone else do Recyclebank? Updated Rewards in Post #18

Bumping this again.

Needing some cash for some Christmas cheer. Hoped for a gift card or two, basically they have none.

I don't know when they last revamped their reward selection, but I won't be using RB again unless they improve their rewards.

Mostly the rewards now seem to all be magazine subscriptions -- big yawn, I can get the same mags for free much easier than through Recyclebank.

Oh, and discounts on what I consider to be mostly overpriced "ecoproducts."

It may work for some, but if you are a RB user, check the available rewards before investing much time to see if you are still interested.
The rewards come and go. There was a dry spell there where all that I saw of interest was e-magazine subscriptions. However, there have also been times when they are loaded with GCs. Certainly, a week or so before Christmas would not be the best time to be looking for GCs, but I'll keep plugging away and saving my points for the times when they restock their GCs.

I wonder if the GC or rewards are regional.... I just went out there and the only gift card is for OneTwine. :( there just is never anything good to choose from.

Our town has been participating with RB since approx 2008. Usually I just save up for a gift card. When we first joined, they offered Hyatt gift cards as an option. By the time I had enough points to redeem, they were discontinued.
We love the Hyatt inside MCO for late arrivals so then I felt I was doing something toward my next trip. Maybe even save several for free breakfast.

Once, I got a $10 Applebees e-card and sold it on gift card granny for like $8.75 in Amazon credits. That was a good deal. Last time I got a $10 Sears card and was told by GCG they could not accept any promotional gift cards.
Usually they don't have something I'd want or it would make me spend more on things I wouldn't otherwise be spending on.
For an average week of single-stream recycling, we earn around 65-69 pts. They do make it easy.

I've been on there a long time and never have seen good deals on gift cards. I wonder if different offers are regional because I only am able to get magazines.

I've been getting $5.00 CVS giftcards. Not great but better than nothing!
