Or am I the only one?? OMG, I just bawl when that song comes on. It has to be my current favorite song.

I love that song! Alan Jackson is most definitely one of my favorites. He's not to bad to look at either.

It doesn't make me cry, but I think of darling heart throb right away! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! :smooth:

I love this song-the first time I heard it, it made me cry.

That is a beautiful song. I get teary eyed. Have you seen the video? If the song makes you cry the video will really get to you.

I love this song too!!
I bought the CD, and told my husband I loved this song...he said he didnt see what was so great about it!! :( :(
It really kind of hurt my feelings. Oh well.

Havnt seen the video, I need to try and catch it!
Glad to know someone else enjoys it as much as I do!

Count me in with the cryers - and it's my favorite too..

Every time I hear it, I think back on the past with my DH - and realize that one of these mornings I'm going to wake up and he's going to be gone and then I start crying.. The line about getting "old & gray" together is like a knife in the heart..

I've actually thought of having a video made for him with photos of our years together and set it to that song but I don't know if I would even be able to watch it...:(

And yes - that Alan Jackson is certainly a "looker"... Not bad - not bad at all..........

These are the lyrics - but it really loses something in the translation if you're not able to listen to that amazing voice of his while he's singing it...

-----------------------------------------------------

Remember when I was young and so were you
And time stood still and love was all we knew
You were the first, so was I
We made love and then you cried
Remember when
Remember when we vowed the vows
and walked the walk
Gave our hearts, made the start, it was hard
We lived and learned, life threw curves
There was joy, there was hurt
Remember when

Remember when old ones died and new were born
And life was changed, disassembled, rearranged
We came together, fell apart
And broke each other's hearts
Remember when

Remember when the sound of little feet
was the music
We danced to week to week
Brought back the love, we found trust
Vowed we'd never give up
Remember when

Remember when thirty something seemed old
Now lookin' back, it's just a steppin' stone
To where we are,
where we've been
Said we'd do it all again
Remember when

Remember when we said when we turned gray
When the children grow up and move away
We won't be sad, we'll be glad
For all the life we've had
And we'll remember when

Remember when
Remember when

Just want to brag a bit--Alan is a "home boy" from Newnan, GA. We are proud of him!

I really like this song also. But it is rolling around in my head and has been there for days and won't go away. Good thing I like the song. Just saw the video yesterday for the first time....very nice video.

This song and "Amazed" by Lonestar cause me to have to pull off road if I'm driving.

I weep when I hear this song. The other evening I had CMT on and the video came on. Hubby was in kitchen and I asked him to join me in viewing it. After it was over neither of us could speak for a few minutes and then he took my hand and said he would always "Remember When".

I love that song, it is sweet and sad at the same time. DH and I are in the

"Remember when the sound of little feet
was the music
We danced to week to week
Brought back the love, we found trust
Vowed we'd never give up
Remember when"

stage right now, but DD will be 4 soon and it is going so fast.

I will tell you the one that makes me have to pull over is "In My Daughter's Eyes" by Martina McBride. Geesh, I have to call and request they don't play it!

Here it is...

In my daughter's eyes, I am a hero.
I am strong an' wise,
And I know no fear.
But the truth is plain to see:
She was sent to rescue me,
I see who I wanna be, in my daughter's eyes.

In my daughter's eyes, everyone is equal,
Darkness turns to light,
And the world is at peace.
This miracle God gave to me,
Gives me strength when I am weak.
I find reason to believe, in my daughter's eyes.

An' when she wraps her hand around my finger,
Oh, it puts a smile in my heart.
Everything becomes a little clearer.
I realise what life is all about.
It's hangin' on when your heart has had enough;
It's givin' more when you feel like givin' up.
I've seen the light: it's in my daughter's eyes.

In my daughter's eyes, I can see the future.
A reflection of who I am,
An' what will be.
An' though she'll grow an', some day, leave:
Maybe raise a family,
When I'm gone, I hope you'll see,
How happy she made me,
For I'll be there, in my daughter's eyes.

I love those songs but nothing gets to me more than Sherrie Austin's "Streets of Heaven". We nearly lost our 2 YO nephew this Christmas. I can't see well enough to drive when that song comes on the radio.
