The last episode was so unbelievably sad that I needed someone to talk to about it....LOL....

If you DON'T watch it, just ignore me :).

Im not sure if you are talking about the original degrassi or the new one but as a kid i remember watching the original degrassi and it was awesome, cant think of what the new is called.

yes! I watch it.

That episode was very sad. I don't know why they had to do that to him. :(

I used to watch Degrassi when it was originally on and got sucked into The Next Generation one day when there was a marathon on. I thought it was cool that Snake, Joey and Spike where in it. ALthough they are hardly on anymore.

My DD has watched that show for years, so I've seen alot of it because it's been on at our house - and I don't dislike it - but wow! I can't believe how they just want to push every emotional button with every issue in the world! It's just too much!

Drugs, school shootings, sexuality issues, teen pregnancy, STDs, and on and on and on and on..... I mean, I know all that happens -- but not all of it to the same small group of people!!!! :scared1:

Yes I watch it. Although I haven't seen it regularly since Liberty had to give her baby up for adoption. That Manny is something else. It seems like she has slept with just about every guy on the show.

My DD and I watch it too. I watched the original when I was a teenager. I watched the latest episode of the new one and it was so sad about JT. It looked like he and Liberty were going to get back together too.

I haven't watched the newest episode yet, but I have it DVR'd. I'll have to make a point to watch it tonight now.

I used to watch the original when I was younger. I was excited when my oldest DD started watching it too. She even likes the original ones. She has a couple of the origals seasons on DVD. She likes to have alone time with me so that we can watch them together.

I don't watch TNG because I don't get the channel it comes on but I will always love my Degrassi! Two years ago a downtown theater here hosted a Degrassi marathon and I went. The men who played Snake and Joey Jeremiah were there and it was so completely awesome! We watched like 13 hours of Degrassi - all the classics and the Schools Out movie (so much drama, so little time). It was like a support group - who knew there were so many people out there willing to veg out an entire day watching great Canadian teen melodrama?

I'm very glad they are doing TNG and it is doing so well. When I was a teenager it seemed like every show dealt with "issues" in some way. Now teens have Michael Rappaport giving a ninth-grade girl a hard time for not going to second with her boyfriend and considering that "cutting edge comedy." :sad2:

I watched it back in the late 80's and early 90's dose any one else recall Joey and his band Zit remedy or Spike with her baby

I loved that show:laughing:

I love Degrassi <33. I've been watching since season one.. I remember the first episode I saw was the one where Emma got her period;; I was hooked. Lolz.

Gosh, I cried soooo much Friday. J.T. was my favorite character..

You should just go to www.the-n.com and watch the episodes there! :thumbsup2 I'm not sure how far back they go....

I was sad about the most recent episode, but I knew ahead of time about it. I found somewhere online that discusses the episodes as they air in Canada (which is 2 episodes ahead of the US).

Yea, I'm only 23 but I watched the old Degrassi when it started coming on again like last year. It was really cute. And Spike with that hair was outrageous.....and I was in tears on Friday. I absolutely LOOVED JT and it was such a pointless act of violence....I felt better though when I found out they had to let him go because he wanted to go to college.

OMG! I totally wasn't expecting that!

I had to come home early from work yesterday so I watched it and bawled at the end. When DD14 came in from school I asked if she had seen it yet or heard anything and she hadn't so I watched it again with her. JT is her favorite character (and actor)on the show and she was VERY upset. She threw the remote and screamed at the tv. She kept asking why they did that to him and wanting to know what he is going to go now. I didn't know about college, but I'll be glad to tell her that now. Hopefully, she'll be more understanding now.

Well, Spike's baby is now one of the main characters on the new Degrassi. Spike married Snake a few years ago. Joey's stepson was also a character, but they both dissapeared. There was even an episode that Wheels showed up in and they were driving around singing their "Everybody wants something" song.

JT got stabbed and killed when he left Manny's party to go find Liberty. He was confronted by two guys from a rival school and one of them ran up behind him and stabbed him.
