No, I don't believe it. I think anyone who does is looking for something to believe in to make up for a lack of something real in his/her life. I think that's sad.
This is the 1st I've heard of it. Isn't part of the theory of the rapture is it's supposed to happen unexpectedly? If thats the case and people think it's May 21 then May 21 has to be the least likely day it will happen. Isn't there supposed to be a whole bunch of things like rivers turning to blood etc etc happening as the signs of the end as well?
I saw a Jesus bus at Stop n Shop with "May 21, 2011 the end is near". I asked the guy how much it was gonna cost to repaint the truck on May 22nd, he didn't think that was funny.
Frankly, I'll be at a Girl Scout Funbaree that weekend, so it's just not working for me.
If it is true then either I get raptured or left behind. I really don't think I can do much in a week and a half to get picked but I could do a terrible crime to get left behind. I think God knows what it would be already.
Of course this is the same lady who was paranoid when her kid said "***** cat" on the soccer field because she was convinced he was saying a nasty term. She also was upset when she went to Wal-mart to get her kid some cupcakes and all they had was rainbow cupcakes, she thought all the other kids would think her son was gay.

I think not sure that the left behind books talk about 2011 and the news articles could be using those to warn us now that I type it. It seems so out there like there is no way it can be predicated
