We're tossing around the idea of buying a used one. Since they just came out in '02, that's the year we'd be buying!!

Do you like it? Would you buy another? Tell me what you think the best feature is. Does it feel more like a Van or an SUV?

Any comments would be appreciated!

My fiance (sort-of) has a 2003 that he got in May and loves it. He has the removeable third row which is great when he needs the extra room. I don't think it feels like a minivan and neither does he - he hates minivans, but it definitely drives smoother than the Bravada (SUV) he used to have. I also like all the cup holders - basically no matter where you sit there is a cupholder somewhere for you (at least in the model he has). Lots of head room and leg room except for in the third row but not totally uncomfortable.

I had one last year at WDW. It was nice, but in general, do not like driving trucks. It was different.

We've had an Explorer (& I still miss it! :( ) but it wasn't practical with my Mom & her weakness during her cancer. It was high & hard for her to climb into. Therefore, we got a Van. The Van is fine for kids (but not much cargo room, especially if you have the 3rd row seat up.) So now we're thinking about replacing my DH's work car (Grand Am) with the Rendezvous. It seems a cross between a van & an SUV. I find them attractive & they seem not to use as much gas as an SUV (if you don't get the AWD or 4WD on it). We're looking at front wheel drive with traction control.

Who knows!! We're also looking to stay under a certain $$ amount, so we may wait another year!!

It's nice to know the Rendezvous has plenty of cup holders!! My kids always pass their cups up to me since there isn't anywhere to put them in the van!! I usually end up holding them since me & DH have our cups in the 2 cup holders we have up front!!

Dan ~ if the Rendezvous sat a man of your height in there comfortably, then it must be quite a vehicle!!

We bought one early in 2002. We absolutely love it! We have driven to WDW many times and it holds a ton of stuff. That is important when you are toting a baby along! It rides like a car, but with the capabilities of an SUV. We did not want the 3rd seat, but if you get it, it has the capabilities of a mini-van. The 2nd row of seats can be removed for even more space. We will more than likely get another in the future.
The interior was designed by a woman, and it shows. There is a nice, hidden place for your purse.
This is coming from someone that does not get attached to cars.
